Mumbai, India

A significant portion of ‘Dhurandhar’ was taped in Mumbai, the capital city of the state of Maharashtra. In February 2025, the cast and crew utilized the services of Filmistan Studios for a part of the shooting. Situated at 20, Belwalkar Wadi in Unnat Nagar, Goregaon West, the 5-acre production complex is one of the oldest ones in the city. Per reports, it was sold to Arkade Developers in July 2025 for a residential project. Part of the Mumbai Suburban District and renowned for its picturesque beaches, Madh Island is also where the shooting was carried out in April of the same year.

In May, the production team headed to the Dombvili-Mankoli bridge to lens a few sequences. One of the dance numbers was taped in July, specifically at Golden Tobacco Factory, located 4R3Q+RH4 Tobacco House, Swami Vivekananda Road in Navpada, Vile Parle. Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) is not only the financial capital of India but also the birthplace of Indian cinema. It is the home of Bollywood, the Hindi-language film industry of the country. ‘Tenet,’ ‘Slumdog Millionaire,’ ‘Extraction,’ ‘Monkey Man,’ ‘Gully Boy,’ and ‘The Family Man’ are just some of the hundreds of movies and shows it has helped produce.

Punjab, India

Several pivotal sequences for ‘Dhurandhar’ were also lensed in the state of Punjab, situated in northwestern India and sharing an international border with Pakistan. In November 2024, the production team set up camp in the Golden Temple, a popular place of worship located in Atta Mandi, Katra Ahluwalia, in the city of Amritsar. Another Punjabi city that served as a filming site is Ludhiana. A few miles north of Ludhiana is the Khera Village, in Punjab’s Kapurthala district, where the cast and crew recorded various important scenes set in Pakistan.

Ladakh, India

For the purpose of shooting, the filming unit of ‘Dhurandhar’ also traveled all the way to Ladakh, a union territory bordered by the Tibet Autonomous Region. While they were lensing parts in Ladakh, over 100 crew members were hospitalized due to food poisoning, causing a delay of several days in shooting. The rugged landscape of the region, embellished with its picturesque mountains, is featured in the backdrop of multiple scenes.

Himachal Pradesh, India

For the purpose of painting the visual canvas of ‘Dhurandhar,’ the cast and crew flew to Himachal Pradesh, the northernmost state of India, in September 2025. Several scenes of the action-packed film were shot at The Lawrence School, Sanawar, a prestigious boarding school standing at 1750 metres in Solan, near Kasauli in the Shimla Hills. Nestled in the Western Himalayas, the mountain state is a popular destination due to its diverse landscape, vibrant culture, and spectacular natural beauty.

Bangkok, Thailand

Thailand is also one of the filming sites of the Ranveer Singh starrer. While the town of Lyari is in Pakistan, the shooting wasn’t conducted in the country. In fact, the team settled on the international location of Bangkok to depict the sequences set in Pakistan. To achieve this, the crew constructed a set by employing the services of a studio in the capital city of Thailand. Bangkok is recognized for its first-rate production services and skilled technicians. Thus, by modeling the streets, architectural design, and structural aesthetic after the Pakistani town, the team added a layer of authenticity to the visual narrative.
