Lifetime’s ‘Double Double Trouble’ is a thriller drama movie that revolves around the complicated dynamics of the relationship between two identical sisters — Drea and Ali. The former recently went through a lot of struggles, including the breakdown of her marriage and a heartbreaking miscarriage. On the other hand, Ali appears to be enjoying a picture-perfect life with a charming man named Ryan. As Drea finds it hard to rebuild her life after losing so much, she lets jealousy and resentment take control of her actions towards her sister. The psychological battle between the identical sisters resurfaces old wounds, further complicating the situation and resulting in deadly consequences. The Gabriel Correa directorial is set in a bustling city, with most of the tale unfolding in and around Ali’s lavish residence that she shares with Ryan.

Where Was Double Double Trouble Filmed?

‘Double Double Trouble’ was reportedly filmed in British Columbia and Georgia, especially in Maple Ridge and Atlanta. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production took place in the summer of 2025, seemingly around the month of August. As the premiere date approached, Tami Roman thanked her talent producer and also the makeup department, stating, “Special thank you to my personal team @tashamackmua and @marthabeautybar for getting the twins together.”

Maple Ridge, British Columbia

Situated between the Fraser River and the Golden Ears in the northeastern section of Greater Vancouver, Maple Ridge reportedly served as the primary production location for ‘Double Double Trouble.’ The filming unit set up camp in several streets and neighborhoods across the city in order to bring the enthralling narrative to life. Numerous businesses and residential properties were seemingly taken over by them to lens key indoor scenes. Besides the Lifetime film, Maple Ridge has hosted the production of numerous film and TV projects, such as ‘Longlegs,’ ‘The Pledge,’ ‘The Curse of La Llorona,’ ‘Needful Things,’ ‘The Night Agent,’ ‘The Man in the High Castle,’ and ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.’

Atlanta, Georgia

From the looks of it, the thriller movie was also shot in and around the city of Atlanta, the capital of Georgia and county seat of Fulton County. The city’s diverse skyline, full of tall buildings and popular landmarks, features in several establishing shots. You might be able to spot the Bank of America Plaza, Truist Plaza, the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel, Tower Square, 1180 Peachtree, and the State of Georgia Building.

The cast of ‘Double Double Trouble’ is led by the powerful performances of Tami Roman and Colin Lawrence. Originating from humble beginnings, Tami moved up the ranks in the industry through sheer hardwork and talent. She has also served as an executive producer for several projects, including ‘Dying to Be Famous,’ ‘Bonnet Chronicles on Tidal,’ ‘Whatever It Takes,’ ‘Who’s Cheating Who?,’ and ‘Haus of Vicious.’ Colin is of Jamaican descent and a talented rapper.

In the Lifetime thriller, Tami Roman showcases her acting prowess by essaying the roles of identical twins, Drea and Ali. Known for her roles in ‘The Ms. Pat Show’ as Denise Ford, ‘Moonlight’ as Maureen Williams, ‘The Family Business’ as London Duncan, and ‘Truth Be Told’ as Lillian Scoville, Tami also has plenty of film credits too. She stars in ‘Dying to Be Famous,’ ‘So Fly Christmas,’ ‘Girl in the Closet,’ ‘Bid for Love,’ and ‘Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison.’

Colin Lawrence as Ryan

Colin Lawrence steps into the character of Ryan, Ali’s partner, in ‘Double Double Trouble.’ You might recognize him from various TV shows, including ‘Virgin River’ as John “Preacher” Middleton, ‘Battlestar Galactica’ as Lt. Hamish “Skull” McCall, ‘iZombie’ as Janko, and ‘Riverdale’ as Coach Clayton. His movie credits include the likes of ‘Napa Ever After,’ ‘Dancing Through the Snow,’ ‘Mystery 101: Playing Dead,’ ‘Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa,’ and ‘Deadly Deed: A Fixer Upper Mystery.’ In the Lifetime production, Shane Dean also features as Wes, while Lynnette Kissoon portrays Robyn.
