Fox’s ‘Fear Factor: House of Fear’ is an adventure reality competition series that brings together fourteen ordinary individuals from different walks of life at a house located in a secluded area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In order to progress through the rounds and win the grand cash prize of $200,000, they must face their worst fears and participate in extreme challenges and stunts. Besides that, as the strangers coexist and get to know one another, they also have to cleverly play a game of social strategy to outdo the other participants. By the end, the last individual standing would not only win the massive prize but prove that fear is not a factor for them. Hosted by Johnny Knoxville, the reality show takes place away from the city in a remote area surrounded by hills and water bodies, as seen in the backdrop of various scenes.
Fear Factor: House of Fear Filming Locations
‘Fear Factor: House of Fear’ is reportedly filmed in British Columbia, particularly in Metro Vancouver. According to reports, principal photography for the debut season of the revival series got underway in the last week of August 2025 and went on for about three weeks before wrapping up by mid-September of the same year. Given the province’s diverse and versatile landscape, it provided the makers with a secluded region where they could build sets for fearful challenges.
Metro Vancouver, British Columbia
The coastal areas in Metro Vancouver seemingly served as primary production locations for ‘Fear Factor: House of Fear.’ The filming unit possibly set up camp at remote sites located in the northern region of the metropolitan area. One of the establishments in the region served as the house where the participants stayed and built new bonds as well as social strategies. The property is expansive enough to accommodate 14 individuals and serves as a place where the participants can relax after the day’s physical and mental challenges.
From what we can tell, the cast and crew members were also spotted taping a few outdoor scenes in Britannia Beach, a small unincorporated community situated a few miles north of Metro Vancouver. Making the most of the open space in the area, the production team constructed sets for all the challenges from scratch. They also built a few sets around the water bodies, which was a seemingly challenging task in itself. The constant presence of the hills in the backdrop tends to heighten the tension, while the seclusion of the area serves as a reminder to the contestants that they must face their fears on their own if they want to progress in the competition.
