Where is Free Bert Filmed? All Shooting Locations

Created by Bert Kreischer, Jarrad Paul, and Andy Mogel, Netflix’s ‘Free Bert’ is a comedy series that follows the once-unapologetic and wild stunt comedian, Bert Kreischer, who gets sacked from his TV show for insulting the higher-ups publicly. Forced to stay at home with his wife, LeeAnn, and his two daughters, Ila and Georgia, Bert tries his best to fit into Beverly Hills’s high-class, sophisticated society, where his daughters attend an elite private school.

Thus, the stand-up comedian puts on a facade and distances himself from his true self to fit in and avoid embarrassing his family. Things change drastically when his daughter, Georgia, is cyberbullied, prompting him to go against the most powerful family in her school. To protect his daughter, Bert decides to embrace his true nature and find a solution. Starring Bert Kreischer, Arden Myrin, Ava Ryan, and Lilou Lang, the show is set in the affluent city of Beverly Hills, where Bert and his family reside, and his daughters go to school.

Free Bert Filming Locations

The shooting for ‘Free Bert’ is conducted primarily in Georgia, specifically in Metro Atlanta. According to reports, principal photography for the debut season of the comedy series got underway in the second week of July 2025 and wrapped up before mid-August of the same year after more than a month of shooting. Ava Belle Ryan, who portrays Georgia, took to social media and explained how filming the show was one of the best experiences of her life. “My stomach hurts still from all of the laughter we shared on set. This show has not only given me forever friends, it also gave me @liloulang, who is my sister forever. Thank you @bertkreischer, @ardenmyrin @leeannkreischer @jarradpaul and Andy and EVERY person who helped make this show come together for creating the most fun set in the world!” she added.

Metro Atlanta, Georgia

While ‘Free Bert’ largely takes us through the elite society in Beverly Hills, it is not where the filming takes place. The first edition of the sitcom was actually taped in the southernmost state of Georgia. In particular, several locations across Metro Atlanta were utilized to recreate the aesthetic of the city nestled in Los Angeles County, California. To tape many scenes set on the premises of the Beverly Hills private school where Bert’s daughters get into, the production team settled on Jane Woodruff Hall at 14-0159-LL-002-7 in College Park, Fulton County. The multi-storey building is located in Woodward Academy, a famed educational institution at 1662 Rugby Avenue.

Filming of a portion of the show was also conducted in and around Atlanta, the capital city of Georgia. The cast and crew visited Cinespace Studios Atlanta at 175 Lakewood Way in the Southwest area of the city for the purpose of filming. Spanning 35 acres, the production facility boasts 13 fully equipped soundstages and offers approximately 357,000 square feet of production space. Post-expansion, the popular filming spot reportedly includes three additional stages of 20,000 square feet each. Furthermore, a few suburbs of the city of Atlanta doubled as Beverly Hills. Dubbed Hollywood of the South, Atlanta has established itself as a world-renowned shooting destination. Thus, it served as an ideal site to convincingly portray the locales of Beverly Hills.
