Helmed by Nanea Miyata, ‘Gossip to Die For’ is a murder-mystery thriller movie that follows a grieving, recently widowed homicide detective, Quinn Walker, who is now a single mother raising her young son, Liam. As she returns to her work, a series of high-profile killings begins to haunt the city streets. In order to find the killer behind the gruesome crimes, she is assigned a new partner, Carter, a competent London-based detective who has come to the States to solve a personal case. Despite their differences, Quinn and Carter must work together to get to the bottom of the homicides. The crime film is set amid the hustle and bustle of a city, where its prestigious properties and dark alleys become crime scenes.

The shooting for ‘Gossip to Die For’ was conducted in England, especially in and around the sprawling city of London. As per reports, principal photography for the suspenseful thriller commenced in November 2023 under the working title ‘Deadly Gossip’ and continued for about three weeks before concluding in December of the same year. The director, Nanea Miyata, shared a few words of gratitude for her fellow cast and crew members, stating, “Way too many people to thank, way too many people not pictured, and way too many thoughts to put in a simple post. Thank you to this wonderful UK film family/cast/crew that welcomed this American idiot and brought this film to life.”

Most of the pivotal sequences for ‘Gossip to Die For’ were lensed across London and its surrounding areas. Its tall buildings and popular spots, including One Canada Square, Newfoundland, One Park Drive, Landmark Pinnacle, and Piccadilly Circus, became regular features in several establishing and exterior shots. To be specific, the area of Hampstead, which is mostly located in the London Borough of Camden, served as one of the prominent production locations for the Nanea Miyata directorial.
From what we can tell, a few outdoor scenes involving Quinn Walker were taped on Judd Street, with several businesses and storefronts featuring in the backdrop. The cast and crew members also set up camp in a parking lot to shoot various key portions. The cast of ‘Gossip to Die For’ is led by Susan Ateh and Jay Rincon, who helped bring the enthralling tale to life through their impressive onscreen performances. Interestingly, the former has experience in other areas of the film industry — as a writer on the short film ‘Closer Apart,’ as a stunt performer in ‘Inner Demons,’ and as a producer on the short film ‘Beíth.’ After following his passion for theater by studying Music Theatre Performance at Western Michigan University, Jay took part in multiple stage productions before entering the industry.

The actor is widely recognized for his roles as AIC Bojorquez in ‘The Beekeeper,’ Principal in ‘Cobweb,’ Antoine Reese in ‘Coronation Street,’ and a scientist in ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.’ He also lends his voice to multiple video games, including ‘Dead Island 2,’ ‘Stellar Blade,’ ‘RoboCop: Rogue City,’ and ‘Brazen Blaze.’
