With Peter Benson at the helm, Hallmark’s ‘A Little Park Music’ is a romantic drama movie that revolves around the mysterious appearance of a piano in the gazebo of the seaside town of Springville. As the piano hinders an important revitalization project in the town, city manager Allie Ferguson takes charge and hopes to get to the bottom of the mystery. To remove the musical instrument so the project can begin uninterrupted, she reluctantly joins forces with rookie police officer Ryan Pruitt.
Although the mysterious piano complicates her job, it also becomes a source of joy that connects the people in the small community. While searching for answers, Allie and Ryan find themselves falling in love with each other and with the music. The romance between the city manager and cop blossoms in the fictional town of Springville, especially at the town gazebo, which brings a sense of magic to ordinary life and plays a critical role in bringing Allie and Ryan together.
Where Was A Little Park Music Filmed?
The shooting for ‘A Little Park Music’ took place in British Columbia, primarily in Greater Victoria. As per reports, principal photography for the Hallmark production took place in the month of October 2025, over the course of a couple of weeks. The executive producer, John Cassini, spoke about his experience on the set and expressed his appreciation towards everyone involved. Greater Victoria, British Columbia
The taping of ‘A Little Park Music’ was conducted in Greater Victoria, British Columbia. The cast and crew visited several spots in the region, located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Several sequences were taped in and around the city of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia. In particular, Veterans Memorial Park also served as a filming location for the movie. A significant portion of the shooting was carried out at the gazebo and likely a few surrounding areas of the recreational space located on Aldwynd Road. In addition to the popular attraction, the production team utilized the premises around Kwao Thai Restaurant, an authentic Thai eatery at 1207 Esquimalt Road in the heart of Esquimalt, just minutes from downtown Victoria.
Throughout production, the cast and crew created lasting bonds and shared many memorable memories. While the team faced some challenges while bringing the Hallmark movie to life, every member showed up with unwavering dedication to support one another and execute their responsibilities. Executive producer John Cassini took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the team, with a special shoutout to a frequent collaborator, director of photography Will McKnight. In a heartfelt caption, he penned, “A big shout-out to the incredible Victoria crew – now our ninth movie together. A special nod to our DP, Will Mcknight who shoots most, if not all, of these films with us in Victoria and continues to pull off miracles under courageous schedules, always with the most collaborative spirit.”

Laci J Mailey dons the garb of Allie Ferguson, city manager of Springville, in the Hallmark production. Widely recognized for her portrayal of Jess O’Brien in ‘Chesapeake Shores,’ Laci also portrays the titular character in ‘Betty’s Bad Luck in Love,’ Abby in ‘The Perfect Setting,’ Ashley Brown in ‘Newlywed and Dead,’ and Kelly in ‘An Alpine Holiday.’ Her TV credits include ‘SurrealEstate,’ ‘The Romeo Section,’ ‘Supernatural,’ and ‘Falling Skies.’
Beau Mirchoff as Ryan Pruitt
In the rom-com, Beau Mirchoff plays the role of Ryan Pruitt, a rookie cop and Allie’s romantic interest. Throughout his decades-long acting career, Beau has demonstrated his versatility by taking on roles in a variety of projects. As for TV shows, he is known for portraying Matty McKibben in ‘Awkward.,’ Jamie Hunter in ‘Good Trouble,’ Cash McMurray in ‘Ride,’ Steve Sheridan in ‘Narcos: Mexico,’ and Danny Bolen in ‘Desperate Housewives.’ Moreover, you might recognize him in ‘I Am Number Four’ as Drew, ‘Scary Movie 4’ as Robbie, ‘Flatliners’ as Brad Mauser, ‘The Finnish Line’ as Cole Olsen, and ‘All Summers End’ as Eric.
