Adapted from the book ‘Chance of A Lifetime’ by Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets, Hallmark’s ‘Providence Falls: Chance of A Lifetime’ is a romantic drama film that kicks off in 1844 Ireland, where a rogue named Liam O’Conner falls head over heels in love with an aristocrat’s shy daughter named Cora McLeod. Her family seals her destiny by promising her hand in marriage to a man she hardly knows, but Liam enters her life and throws their plans off track.
Although their plans of being together are shattered, they are reincarnated and given a second shot at love in the modern world. Now, Cora is a headstrong up-and-coming detective who is paired with Liam, a visiting detective, on her first case. Liam has been given three months to fix the destiny. In order to change fate, he must ensure that Cora ends up with another man, Finn. As the narrative unfolds across two drastically different time periods, the contrasting visuals of the fictional town of Providence Falls complement the characters’ love story.
