The Ali Liebert directorial, Hallmark’s ‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding,’ is the fourth installment of Hallmark’s ‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries’ film series. The standalone whodunnit sequel revolves around yet another murder mystery that the music teacher, Gethsemane Brown, is determined to solve, alongside her ghostly partner, Eamon McCarthy. When Gethsemane is invited to perform at an Irish wedding, she accepts and looks forward to the event.
However, the fun and celebrations get interrupted when a member of the bridal party suddenly turns up dead. So, the musician dons her detective hat and launches an investigation into the mysterious murder. As she digs deeper into the guests at the wedding with Eamon’s help, she begins to connect the dots, hoping to identify the perpetrator before it’s too late. The suspenseful yet comedic tale of the homicide and the ensuing investigation unfolds in Ireland, with the wedding venue set against overcast weather filling the narrative’s visual canvas.
Where Was Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding Filmed?
‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding’ was filmed entirely in Ireland, particularly in County Wicklow. According to reports, principal photography for the fourth installment of the film series commenced in late September 2025 and went on for a couple of weeks before wrapping up around mid-October of the same year. After the conclusion of the shoot, Debbie O’Donnell shared a few words of appreciation for her fellow cast and crew members, stating, “That’s a wrap 🎬. It was an absolute pleasure working with this amazing group of people for the last few weeks especially @tameramowrytwo who is one of the hardest working people I know (to say we had a few laughs along the way is an understatement 😉).”
County Wicklow, Ireland
To add a layer of authenticity to the narrative, the production team of ‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding’ lensed all the pivotal sequences on location in County Wicklow. With the picturesque view of the Irish Sea to the east, the county is a part of Ireland’s Leinster province. To be specific, the cast and crew members primarily set up camp in and around the town of Blessington, which is situated on the River Liffey.
The luxurious 4-star hotel — Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort – Wicklow Hotel on Blessington Lakes in the neighborhood of Tulfarris — doubled as the venue for the Irish wedding where Gethsemane is hired to perform. Its exteriors as well as interiors were transformed as per the makers’ directions. Many outdoor scenes were also taped on different streets and neighborhoods across County Wicklow. For instance, the filming unit took over the Wicklow Head Old Lighthouse in the Dunbur Head area.
