Where is Hulu’s Dying for Sex Filmed?

Based on the eponymous Wondery podcast by Nikki Boyer, Hulu’s ‘Dying for Sex’ is the creation of Kim Rosenstock and Elizabeth Meriwether. The comedy-drama series centers upon a married woman named Molly Kochan, whose life turns upside down after she is diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. As she is forced to reflect on her entire life, she severs ties with her husband of 15 years and embarks on a spiritual journey to explore herself and her desires.

Encouraged and supported by her best friend, Nikki Boyer, Molly is able to muster the courage required to explore her sexuality in the last stretch of her cancer-stricken life. Led by the bold and compelling performance of Michelle Williams, the show also features other popular names, such as Jenny Slate, Rob Delaney, Jay Duplass, and Kelvin Yu. The navigation of her sexual desires gets Molly out of her shell and into the bustling city streets, hoping to make connections with other men.

Scott Ice Company Powerhouse and Ice House Site, the Johannis L. Van Alen Farm, the Requa House, the Stuyvesant Landing Depot, and William A. Witbeck House. There’s a chance that you might spot a few of these in the backdrop of some scenes. In March 2024, Michelle Williams and other cast members were spotted taping multiple scenes on the streets of the town by many passersby and locals.
