An Andrew Stanton directorial, Hulu’s ‘In the Blink of an Eye’ chronicles the universe’s entire history by depicting different stages of humanity — the past, present, and future — through various characters. In the distant past, nearly 45,000 years ago, the story revolves around an early human named Thorn raising his young family. The tale of the present follows a 29-year-old scientist named Claire working at Princeton. We get acquainted with Coakley, a space explorer living in the future on her spacecraft. Keeping her company is an artificially intelligent computer named Rosco as she repairs her spacecraft and takes care of her plants. Despite the stories spanning thousands of years, there are multiple interconnections and parallels between them. Featuring Kate McKinnon, Rashida Jones, and Daveed Diggs, the science fiction drama portrays the interwoven stories against suitable backdrops, accurately reflecting the time periods.
