Directed by Robert Adetuyi, ‘Fame: A Temptations Story’ is the second installment in Lifetime’s ‘Temptation’ thriller film series, the first one being ‘Desire: A Temptations Story.’ ‘Fame: A Temptations Story’ revolves around sisters Cherish and Roxy Jordan, a famed singing duo. While their mutual love is palpable, it soon catches the eye of the Devil as a robbery takes place at their penthouse one night. Cherish and her partner are attacked, and rumors start to spread regarding Roxy staging the crime. Not willing to rule out the possibility that it was an inside job, the investigators delve into the dynamic the sisters share, which soon brings to the surface a wretched sibling rivalry steeped in the desire for fame. The fame-driven narrative carries a suspense that is highlighted using the visuals, which range from bright backgrounds, showing the glitterati, to dim-lit environments, showing the darkness associated with hidden motives.
Where Was Fame: A Temptations Story Filmed?
‘Fame: A Temptations Story,’ like many other Lifetime movies, was filmed entirely in Vancouver, British Columbia. The cast and crew shot the film over around three weeks, from February 14 to March 6, 2025. The short schedule meant the team had to work fast and meticulously to avoid delays while shifting between indoor and outdoor locations. As hectic as it was, from the output, it is clear that they did a great job.
Vancouver, British Columbia
‘Fame: A Temptations Story,’ like many other Lifetime movies, was filmed extensively in Vancouver, thanks to its urban locales and state-of-the-art production facilities. The modern backdrops and skyscrapers enabled the crew to showcase the lifestyle of the successful Jordan sisters. The nightlife, too, was incorporated to highlight the glitter that comes with being a star. All this led to the establishment of the aspect of fame, which is also the root cause of the conflict and the force that takes the story forward. A large portion of the movie takes place indoors, especially inside the penthouse of the Jordan sisters, bars, restaurants, hotels, and a courtroom. Each of these settings was carefully chosen to add realism to the story. The crew made sure that the world-building doesn’t feel all over the place with the changing backdrops by maintaining a modern aesthetic throughout.
