‘Girl Who Vanished’ was filmed in its entirety in Kentucky, particularly in Shelbyville. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production took place in the span of a couple of weeks in the month of September 2024. After the shooting concluded, Rylee Reagan took to social media and expressed her gratitude for being a part of the film. Shelbyville, Kentucky

The county seat of Shelby County — Shelbyville — served as the primary production location for ‘Girl Who Vanished.’ From the looks of it, the filming unit took over an actual residence. It was seemingly used to double for the Tanner household, where most of the story unfolds. The area surrounding the property also reportedly became a hotspot for shooting. In the establishing shots and other exterior scenes, you are likely to spot various local landmarks and places of attraction. The cast and crew members were also spotted lensing numerous pivotal sequences in different neighborhoods and streets of the city. Apart from the Lifetime thriller, Shelbyville has been featured in multiple movies and TV shows, including ‘Lethal Desire,’ ‘Sheba, Baby,’ ‘Hindsight 2020,’ and ‘Reaper of the Soul.’

‘Girl Who Vanished’ is led by the impressive performances of Isabella Carlsen and Rylee Reagan. As for Rylee, she has also served as a writer for a couple of short films — ‘The Yellow Room’ and ‘Where Flowers Won’t Grow.’
