Love, Again: Filming Locations and Cast Details

In Lifetime’s ‘Love, Again,’ we get acquainted with Caroline and Henry, a married couple who have weathered all kinds of ups and downs throughout their 30-year marriage and have always stayed together. However, when Henry is shockingly diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, their entire world turns upside down as it is one of their biggest challenges yet as a couple. While they navigate Henry’s deteriorating memory together, Caroline forms an unexpected platonic bond with Leo, the caretaker who offers her solace and helps her cope as she slowly loses her soulmate. Helmed by David I. Strasser, the romantic drama movie is primarily set in and around Caroline and Henry’s residence, where the couple faces complications due to Henry’s illness.

Where Was Love, Again Filmed?

Production on ‘Love, Again’ was conducted in its entirety in British Columbia, particularly in Greater Vancouver. According to reports, principal photography for the Lifetime film commenced in June 2025 and went on for a couple of weeks before wrapping up in early July of the same year. In the final phase of the shooting process, Valerie Bertinelli shared how grateful she was for the opportunity to work with the fellow cast and crew members.

She stated, “A long day, which came after two full weeks of extraordinary work done by kind, hardworking people gifted in their field of expertise. Led by our resting-smile-face director @davidistrasser who does not buckle with the immense pressure and time constraints he’s under. This movie we’re filming for @lifetimetv is so raw, beautiful and heartbreaking because @nanceysilvers wrote a miraculous script we get to work from. Now, we rest and prepare for our last week of shooting. I can’t wait to share it with all of you.”

Greater Vancouver, British Columbia

All the pivotal sequences for ‘Love, Again’ were reportedly lensed across Greater Vancouver, consisting of the city of Vancouver and its surrounding areas. In Vancouver, the production team set up camp in different streets and neighborhoods to record many important outdoor scenes. For instance, from what we can tell, they utilized the premises of Stanley Park and the nearby waters of Burrard Inlet and English Bay. The establishing shots are also likely to feature a few popular landmarks and buildings in the city, such as the Lions Gate Bridge, Harbour Centre, the Vancouver Art Gallery, Science World, and Canada Place.

The cast and crew members also took over the lavish property at 19838 3rd Avenue in the city of Langley, which doubled as the residence of Caroline and Henry. Numerous rooms and areas of the property were turned into film sets, where they taped key indoor portions. Apart from ‘Love, Again,’ Greater Vancouver has served as a prominent production location for various movies and TV shows, including ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ ‘Eternity,’ ‘The Age of Adaline,’ ‘The Wrong Paris,’ ‘Legends of the Fall,’ ‘Once Upon a Time,’ and ‘Virgin River.’

Love, Again Cast Details

Valerie Bertinelli, Henry Czerny, and Eric McCormack lead the cast of ‘Love, Again’ and bring the narrative to life through their impressive onscreen performances. Valerie is a veteran in the industry, having served as a producer/executive producer for quite a few projects, including ‘Sydney’ and ‘Valerie’s Home Cooking.’ She has also showcased her musical talent by contributing to the music of ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ ‘Young Love, First Love,’ and ‘One Day at a Time.’ Similarly, Henry has also spent decades in the film industry, working his way up from the bottom. Meanwhile, Eric has plenty of producer credits too, in projects like ‘Imperfect Union,’ ‘Perception,’ and ‘Travelers.’

Valerie Bertinelli dons the garb of Caroline in the Lifetime production. Widely recognized for her roles in ‘One Day at a Time’ as Barbara Cooper, ‘The Seduction of Gina’ as Gina Breslin, ‘Claire’ as Claire Bannion, ‘C.H.O.M.P.S.’ as Casey Norton, and ‘Hot in Cleveland’ as Melanie Moretti, she also stars in various shows from the 1990s, including ‘In a Child’s Name,’ ‘Cafe Americain,’ and ‘Sydney.’

In ‘Love, Again,’ Henry Czerny plays the role of Henry, Caroline’s husband. As the plot unfolds, his character is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. You might find his face familiar because he stars in the ‘Mission: Impossible’ film series as Kittridge, ‘The Pink Panther’ as Yuri, ‘Ready or Not’ as Tony, and ‘Clear and Present Danger’ as Robert Ritter. His TV credits include the likes of ‘Sharp Objects,’ ‘Quantico,’ ‘Revenge,’ ‘The Tudors,’ ‘Supergirl,’ and ‘Schitt’s Creek.’

Eric McCormack as Leo

Eric McCormack steps into the character of Leo, who becomes a source of support for Caroline in tough times in the romantic drama movie. Given his rich filmography, you are likely to recognize Eric in ‘Will & Grace’ as Will Truman, ‘Dead Like Me’ as Ray Summers, ‘Perception’ as Daniel Pierce, ‘Travelers’ as Grant MacLaren, ‘Hell Motel’ as Hemmingway, and ‘Nine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue’ as Kevin Anderson. He also has plenty of film credits to his name too, such as ‘Drinkwater,’ ‘A Heavenly Christmas,’ ‘The Architect,’ ‘Barricade,’ and ‘Romeo Killer: The Chris Porco Story.’

The Lifetime production also features Samantha Ferris as Tracey Bennett and Jessica Bernard as Pauline. Other cast members who play supporting roles include Mark Brandon as Joe Stern, Mackenzie Cardwell as Rachel, Kate Craven as Lily, Max Lloyd-Jones as Adam, Gabriel Prevost-Takahashi as Doctor Stern, and Parmiss Sehat as Alana Marks.
