My Family’s Killer Affairs: Filming Locations and Cast Details

Helmed by Jeff Hare, Lifetime’s ‘My Family’s Killer Affairs’ acquaints us with a single mother named Nikki who has a tough time parenting Erica, her teenage daughter. Soon, she receives the shock of her life when she learns that during an IVF treatment two decades ago, one of her eggs was implanted into someone else by accident. So, when her other daughter, Jenell, enters her life, she welcomes her with her open and loving arms.

Although Jenell seems to be an ideal daughter, she harbors some secrets that have the tendency to prove fatal for Nikki’s other daughter and her sister, Erica. Except for the enthralling narrative, the dark visuals and backdrops also help in building atmospheric tension throughout the crime thriller film, highlighting the significance of the locations used in the making of the movie.

Where Was My Family’s Killer Affairs Filmed?

‘My Family’s Killer Affairs’ was filmed in its entirety in Georgia, particularly in and around Atlanta. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production commenced in late July 2024 under the working title ‘My Sister’s Secret’ and went on for a couple of weeks before getting wrapped up in August of the same year. As the premiere date of the movie approached, Joanie Geiger took to social media and reminisced on her time on set. She said, “Thank you, @jeff_hardwick @badbunpix , for the opportunity to work with you again and aprilmartucci @kabbyborders @bourke_floyd @josiejuliettewert @bellacarlsen for being such awesome humans! You made me feel right at home with your set fam! ❤️ You guys rock!”

Atlanta, Georgia

All pivotal sequences for ‘My Family’s Killer Affairs’ were reportedly lensed across the capital of Georgia — Atlanta. The cast and crew members took over various neighborhoods and streets of the city to shoot important scenes against suitable backdrops. They also seemingly set up camp in a few real-life establishments across Atlanta, including residential properties, in order to tape indoor portions. It is also likely that the filming unit took advantage of the facilities of one of the film studios situated in and around the city.

In the establishing or aerial shots, you are likely to spot numerous landmarks and attractions associated with the capital city, such as the Georgia Aquarium, the Bank of America Plaza, One Atlantic Center, Tower Square, the Atlanta Cyclorama & Civil War Museum, and The World of Coca-Cola. Over the years, Atlanta has served as the prominent production location for multiple film and TV projects, including ‘Den of Thieves,’ ‘Along Came the Devil,’ ‘A Lover Scorned,’ ‘The Yellow Wallpaper,’ ‘Pieces of Her,’ and ‘The Oval.’
