Lifetime’s ‘My Sister’s Double Life’ revolves around a young woman named Chelsea and her sister, Hayley Ellis, who works at a diner. One fateful night, the latter disappears out of the blue after finishing her late-night shift at the diner. When Chelsea is unable to get in touch with her, she is convinced that Hayley has been abducted. However, the police don’t believe in her abduction theory, forcing her to take matters into her own hands and rescue her sister.
While Chelsea is on a mission to search for her missing sister, she realizes that she is the next intended victim or captive of the captor responsible for her sister’s kidnapping. Thus, a cat-and-mouse chase ensues between Chelsea and the captor. With Marta Borowski at the helm, the crime thriller movie explores the themes of kidnapping and deceit by using eerie backdrops and dark visuals to create a compelling atmospheric tension, which complement the overall narrative.
Where Was My Sister’s Double Life Filmed?
The shooting of ‘My Sister’s Double Life’ reportedly took place in its entirety in Ontario, especially in London. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production seemingly got underway in August 2024 under the working title ‘My Sister’s Deadly Secrets’ and wrapped up in early September of the same year. Thanking the entire cast and crew, director Marta Borowski shared her experience of directing the movie. She stated, “Immensely grateful for the opportunity to direct My Sister’s Deadly Secrets with the best execs, producers and team! It was truly a honour to bring this thriller to life…” She also expressed gratitude towards the hardworking crew members, saying, “Many thanks to our amazing and super hard working crew, amongst are some of the funniest and kindest folks I’ve met…”

‘My Sister’s Double Life’ was taped in several locations across the city of London in the southwestern part of Ontario. In particular, a portion of the shooting was carried out at Fanshawe Conservation Area at 1424 Clarke Road. Engulfed in breathtaking natural beauty embellished by Fanshawe Lake, the 3,000-acre outdoor campground is a popular spot for several activities, such as hiking, camping, biking, kayaking, fishing, and outdoor cooking. Therefore, it makes sense why the team of the Lifetime movie chose the picturesque spot to capture a few sequences. It has also served as a filming location for Arnold Schwarzenegger starrer ‘FUBAR.’ In addition, the cast and crew seemingly lensed a few scenes at Village Pantry Restaurant, located at 2473 Main Street in the neighborhood of Lambeth.
Since 1979, the brunch and breakfast restaurant has been offering a cozy dining experience and satiating people’s appetites with comforting dishes. It takes pride in its lush greenery and the dense carpet of trees, owing to which it has earned the title of “Forest City.” The city is also home to the University of Western Ontario and boasts a thriving art and cultural scene.
