Directed by Amy Force, the Lifetime thriller drama ‘Seduced by His Lies’ centers on a successful woman who finds herself stuck in a web of lies and deceit. The story centers on Terri Thorne, who returns home from a work trip only to find a stranger living in her new home. Marcus Keller claims that the house belongs to him, but an exchange of words leads them to believe that they have fallen victim to a real estate scam. As the two search for ways to find the scammer, a passionate romance develops between them. What Terri doesn’t know is that she has waded into treacherous waters filled with a sediment of lies. As the investigation proceeds, suspicion keeps shifting from one person to another, including the realtor and the lawyer.
Where was Seduced by His Lies Filmed?
‘Seduced by His Lies,’ like many other Lifetime movies, was likely filmed entirely in Ontario, specifically in Toronto. From what we can tell, principal photography, which usually takes around a month for Lifetime projects, seemingly took place in April 2025. The cast and crew worked hard to give shape to the gripping and dark narrative set against the urban landscape of the City that Works, which itself becomes a character in the plot.
Toronto, Ontario
Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is nicknamed Hollywood North, which it shares with Vancouver. It has earned the title due to its popularity as one of the largest and fastest-growing production locations across the world. From tax incentives to top-tier filming studios and highly skilled crew, the city offers it all. Furthermore, the urban neighborhoods and streets can be easily used to double for those in US cities, which also makes it a suitable location for American projects. Needless to say, it is a paradise for production. The crew may have easily utilized the studio facilities and the outdoor backdrops to highlight the essence of the thriller drama. Other projects that have used Toronto for filming include ‘What Would You Kill For,’ ‘The Last Woman Who Lived Here,’ ‘Fear Street Prom Queen,’ and ‘Another Simple Favor.’ As a global tourist location, it boasts the Toronto Sign, City Hall, Humber Bay Arch Bridge, CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum, Queen’s Park, and Scarborough Bluffs, among other iconic landmarks.
