Based on the eponymous book written by best-selling author Terri Blackstock, Lifetime’s ‘Terri Blackstock’s If I Run’ is a crime drama movie helmed by Michael M. Scott. When Brent is found dead, the DNA of his best friend, Casey Cox, is found all over the crime scene. As she gets framed for the crime she didn’t commit, she goes into hiding. Despite not fitting the profile of a killer, she is being hunted by the authorities. Meanwhile, knowing that she can’t afford to trust anyone, she does everything in her power to remain hidden and away from the hands of justice.
The hunt for Casey is led by a war veteran and private investigator named Dylan Roberts, who is battling his own demons. Upon digging deeper into the case, the detective finds some disturbing and complicated truths about the murder, realizing that the fugitive is innocent. As the mystery surrounding the case drives the narrative forward, it is the visuals that play a role in keeping the viewers engaged and enhance the suspense.
Terri Blackstock’s If I Run Filming Locations
‘Terri Blackstock’s If I Run’ was filmed in its entirety in British Columbia, especially on Vancouver Island. According to reports, principal photography for the Lifetime production got underway in the last week of April 2025 and continued for about three weeks before wrapping up in May of the same year.
Vancouver Island, British Columbia
All the pivotal sequences for ‘Terri Blackstock’s If I Run’ were lensed across Vancouver Island, which lies in the northeastern Pacific Ocean. For the first part of the production process, the cast and crew members set up camp in the town of Sidney, situated at the northern end of Vancouver Island’s Saanich Peninsula. For the duration of their time in the town, they were housed at the old Sidney-Anacortes Ferry terminal near Tulista Park.
In late April 2025, various spots across Sidney were turned into film sets, including Weiler Avenue and Sixth Street. Local residents also reportedly spotted the production team taping portions in and around Brown’s The Florist Sidney at 2499 Beacon Avenue. Other areas that feature in the crime film are Bevan Road, the 2400 block of Beacon Avenue, and Orchard Avenue. From what we can tell, one of the churches also seemingly hosted the production of the film. In order to boost the local economy, the production also hired most of the crew from Sidney itself.
After wrapping up the shooting in Sidney, the filming team then traveled to the capital city of British Columbia — Victoria. Situated on the southern end of Vancouver Island, the city also served as a prominent shooting site for a bunch of key portions. As per reports, a pivotal bus station scene was shot in the city. Since Victoria is home to several famed buildings and landmarks, you might be able to spot some of them in the backdrop, such as the British Columbia Parliament Buildings, Christ Church Cathedral, Craigdarroch Castle, and the Fairmont Express hotel.
