Bravo’s ‘Love Hotel’ is a dating reality show that follows four of the most entertaining personalities of the ‘The Real Housewives’ franchise who come together for a lavish getaway in Mexico, hoping to find true love. The women decide who checks in and out, and what is done with the coveted key to the “Love Hotel.” Towards the end of their stay, they decide if they want to check out with a partner or leave solo. The ladies are aided by Joel Kim Booster, the show’s host, in their endeavor. Like other ‘The Real Housewives’ shows, ‘Love Hotel’ takes the glamorous route to dating, especially with its aesthetic, further “sweetening the deal.”
Love Hotel Filming Locations
Filming of ‘Love Hotel’ took place in Mexico, specifically in Los Cabos, a municipality in the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula in the state of Baja California Sur. Principal photography reportedly began at the beginning of September 2024 and wrapped up by the end of the same month. Talking about all the drama that unfolded during production, Booster told TV Insider that “I would dip my toe into that pond any time. I had a blast doing this show.”
Los Cabos, Mexico
The luxurious Grand Velas Boutique Hotel is where the production team set up base for the first season of ‘Love Hotel.’ To give the ladies a tailored, dreamy dating experience, the crew accessed the grand indoor and outdoor spaces of the hotel overlooking the Sea of Cortez. Located at Carretera Transpeninsular Km. 17.3 Corredor Turístico in San José del Cabo, Grand Velas Boutique Hotel is an adults-only all-inclusive resort that oozes sophistication and exclusivity.
“It was wild. You step into paradise. It’s a beautiful hotel, and they are not even paying me to say this right now. It’s a great place. I will say any five-star resort will make you crazy by the end of it if it’s the only place that you experience for three weeks straight. I was definitely getting stir crazy by the end of it, but it’s a champagne problem when you step out of your balcony and see the beautiful landscape of Los Cabos’ Grand Velas Hotel. Ultimately, it was a three-week fever dream in a lot of ways,” Booster told TV Insider. The boutique hotel, which is among the top luxury resorts in Mexico, has 79 suites with ocean views, private pools, and fire pits. It has won the AAA 5 Diamonds, the highest rank in the Diamond Ratings System for luxury restaurants and lodgings given by AAA (American Automobile Association).
The wide range of amenities includes diverse dining choices, a spa, an infinity pool with a view of the horizon, a state-of-the-art gym, a kids club, a teens club, 24-hour personal concierge service, and an array of daily activities. Moreover, the mix of modern architecture and nature gives the hotel a unique and posh look, offering the crew a warm, glistening aesthetic to use as the backdrop. Los Cabos itself is a well-known tourist spot, especially due to the Los Cabos Corridor, a 30-km stretch facing the Gulf of California between the coastal city of San José del Cabo and the resort city of Cabo San Lucas. Both cities offer exclusive attractions, like the El Arco de Cabo San Lucas near Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo’s coastline.
