Where Was Love is Blind: Brazil Season 5 Filmed?

Based on the American version of the show, ‘Love is Blind: Brazil’ is a Brazilian dating series that follows a similar format of a group of eligible men and women coming together in the hopes of finding the one. The attractive singles enter the pods and go on several dates without seeing each other, before finding a connection and getting engaged. After their engagement, the couple meets face-to-face for the first time and spends the following weeks together.

As they get to know each other, they must decide if they want to tie the knot or walk away. Originally titled ‘Casamento às Cegas: Brasil,’ the show’s fifth edition introduces a few twists. All the contestants are over the age of 50, and season 5 also features various celebrities reacting to the episodes from the iconic booths. Hosted by Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo, the season was also reportedly renamed ‘Love Is Blind Brazil: Never Too Late.’ The transition of the relationships between the contestants is highlighted by the change of backdrops — from the pods to the coastal areas to the cityscape.

Love is Blind: Brazil Season 5 Filming Locations

The shooting for ‘Love is Blind: Brazil’ season 5 took place entirely in Brazil, especially in the states of São Paulo and Bahia. As per reports, principal photography for the fifth round got underway in October 2024 and went on for more than 39 days before wrapping up by the end of the year.

Bahia, Brazil

In order to shoot the scenes involving the honeymoon phase of the newly engaged couples for season 5, the production team set up camp in the Brazilian state of Bahia. To be specific, the district of Transcoso in the municipality of Porto Seguro served as a prominent production location. Several pivotal sequences were lensed in and around the Church of St. John the Baptist at St. John’s Square in Downtown Trancoso. The beach behind the iconic church also became a date spot for numerous scenes. Dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, the church conducts masses, baptisms, and even weddings. Besides ‘Love is Blind: Brazil’ season 5, Bahia has hosted the production of several reality shows, including ‘Os Hermanos Perdidos no Brasil,’ ‘Encuentros en Brasil,’ ‘O Aprendiz,’ and ‘Criativos.br – Moda e Identidade.’

São Paulo, Brazil

After the honeymoon, all the couples of the fifth season moved to the third phase, which meant spending more time together in the municipality of Indaiatuba in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. Part of the Metropolitan Region of Campinas, Indaiatuba consists of several tall buildings and places of interest, some of which feature in the backdrop of various scenes. From what we can tell, a few local establishments were turned into film sets to shoot multiple indoor scenes. As for the pod scenes, they were seemingly taped on a sound stage in one of the film studios.
