Under the direction of David I. Strasser, Hallmark’s ‘Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder’ is a mystery drama movie that centers on an advice columnist named Nelly Parker, who takes Detective Michael Hogan as her date when she receives an invitation to a luxurious dinner party at Grand Arlott Manor. She also sets out to help a wealthy widow reconnect with her estranged family members at the event. However, things soon turn morbid when the host’s lawyer, also the boyfriend of Nelly’s childhood friend, is killed.
Now, Nelly and Detective Michael must investigate the murder together and identify the killer, as the victim’s girlfriend, Dahlia, becomes the prime suspect. In the sequel to ‘Nelly Knows Mysteries: A Fatal Engagement’ and the second installment in the ‘Nelly Knows Mysteries’ film series, the suspenseful whodunnit tale unfolds primarily at the Grand Arlott Manor, which serves as an additional character that helps hide the killer’s identity amidst its grand setting.
Where Was Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder Filmed?
‘Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder’ was filmed in its entirety in British Columbia, particularly in Greater Vancouver. As per reports, principal photography for the sequel got underway on March 31, 2025, and went on for a couple of weeks before wrapping up in mid-April of the same year. With the premiere of the film approaching, director David Strasser took to social media and stated, “I had the pleasure to both direct and executive produce this beauty alongside Joel S. Rice & @scott891 at @muse_entertainment. ”
Greater Vancouver, British Columbia
All the pivotal sequences for ‘Nelly Knows Mysteries: All Manners of Murder’ were lensed in different spots across Greater Vancouver, which comprises the city of Vancouver and other surrounding areas. In order to shoot the scenes set in and around the Grand Arlott Manor, the production team utilized the exteriors and interiors of the property, previously known as St. Vincent’s Park, at 6741 224th Street in Langley Township. Built in 1917, the property has served as a prominent production location for various movies and TV shows, including ‘The Age of Adaline,’ ‘The Wedding Cottage,’ ‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,’ ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,’ ‘Bates Motel,’ ‘Riverdale,’ and ‘Arrow.’
The filming unit also set up camp in several streets and neighborhoods of Vancouver to tape numerous key portions. From what we can tell, multiple areas of Langley also hosted the production of the Hallmark film. Apart from the whodunnit movie, Greater Vancouver features in many projects.
