Delirium Filming Locations
The shooting for ‘Delirium’ took place entirely in Colombia, primarily in Bogotá. As per reports, principal photography for the Netflix production was carried out in the summer of 2024, seemingly commencing around June and concluding after three months, in August of the same year. The filming process was enjoyed by the cast and crew members, as expressed by Estefania Piñeres, who portrays Agustina. She said (translated), “It was a beautiful three months and in the end, that’s what it’s all about. Thank you my friends.”
Bogotá, Colombia
Almost the entirety of ‘Delirium’ was lensed in the city of Bogotá — the capital of Colombia. Officially known as Bogotá, Distrito Capital, the city provided the production team with various ideal filming sites in different streets and neighborhoods. Making the most of its vast and diverse landscapes, the cast and crew reportedly set up camp right outside the Ministerio de Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicaciones- Edificio Murillo Toro at Cra. 8 #Entre Calles 12 y 13. The filming unit also taped several pivotal sequences around the Torres del Parque (known as the Park Towers), located in the La Macarena neighborhood. Designed by the Colombian architect Rogelio Salmona, the architectural wonder’s construction took place between 1964 and 1970.
From the looks of it, multiple streets were transformed into film sets and made to represent the 1980s to add more authenticity to the narrative. For the purpose of filming, Estefanía Piñeres and the rest of the cast and crew also traveled just outside the capital. They reportedly recorded numerous exterior portions in and around the Chingaza National Natural Park in the Eastern Ranges of the Colombian Andes. Apart from ‘Delirium,’ Bogotá has served as a prominent production location for many film and TV projects, including ‘The Hidden Face,’ ‘Sound of Freedom,’ ‘The Marked Heart,’ and ‘Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso.’
