Originally titled ‘Legenden,’ Netflix’s ‘The Asset’ is a Danish crime thriller series that revolves around a young yet competent up-and-coming intelligence service agent named Tea, who is assigned a dangerous undercover mission. The shooting for ‘The Asset’ took place in its entirety in Denmark, possibly in and around Copenhagen. According to reports, principal photography for the inaugural iteration of the crime series got underway in late August 2024 and went on for about four months before wrapping up in December of the same year. At the beginning of the filming process, Afshin Firouzi, who portrays Miran, opened up about how grateful he felt for the opportunity to star in the show. Copenhagen, Denmark

The capital city of Denmark — Copenhagen — seemingly served as the primary production location for ‘The Asset.’ Situated mainly on the island of Zealand, many locales of the city appeared to have turned into film sets for the purpose of shooting. For instance, the cast and crew members supposedly set up camp in and around Hammerichsgade, with businesses like REMA 1000 featuring in the backdrop during a car chase sequence. In the establishing shots, you might also spot various landmarks and places of interest located in Copenhagen, including Christiansborg Palace, Frederik’s Church, The Lakes, Nyhavn, Dronning Louises Bro, and more.

It is also possible that the filming unit of ‘The Asset’ also utilized the facilities of a film studio located in and around the capital city to lens several indoor sequences in a controlled environment. Apart from the thriller show, Copenhagen has hosted the production of numerous other film and TV projects, such as ‘The House That Jack Built,’ ‘The Girl with the Needle,’ ‘Dancer in the Dark,’ ‘Department Q: The Keeper of Lost Causes,’ ‘In China They Eat Dogs,’ ‘The Bridge,’ ‘Secrets We Keep,’ and ‘The Chestnut Man.’
