The Italian adaptation of the original South Korean show ‘Physical: 100,’ Netflix’s ‘Physical 100: Italy’ is an Italian reality competition series that brings together 100 competitive participants, including Olympic champions, content creators, rugby players, military professionals, celebrities, and several Italian VIPs, as they go head-to-head against one another in a series of physical and mental quests that push their bodies and mental strength to the limit. In order to stay in the competition, the contestants must use their strength, nerves, and agility. In the end, only one true champion who outlasts the rest is crowned the winner of the competition. Originally titled ‘Physical: Italia – Da 100 a 1,’ the intense challenges are conducted in a huge arena that reflects the grandeur of the title at play.
Physical 100: Italy Filming Locations
Production on ‘Physical 100: Italy’ is conducted entirely in Italy, particularly in and around Turin. From what we can tell, principal photography for the inaugural iteration of the competition series took place around July and August 2025, over the course of several weeks. One of the contestants, Federica Murgia, shared several BTS photos of the shoot and wrote (translated), “Before I can even tell you the evidence, I can show you one of the most beautiful parts of this experience: the people. These photographs are fragments of days lived together: trainings, waiting, lifts, cycling, dinners, laughter, trusts and moments that I will always carry with me. @realclaudiosona and @nik_cornia a very special bond was born with you and you know how much I adore you. Turin, Italy
A major chunk of ‘Physical 100: Italy’ was shot in Turin, the capital city of the Piedmont region. In particular, the filming unit took over the Lingotto building complex located on Via Nizza and built the entire set from scratch. Earlier, the complex was used as a car factory for the Italian automotive company Fiat. Nowadays, it usually serves as a multipurpose center and the manufacturer’s administrative headquarters. The building has made appearances in multiple shows and movies over the years, including ‘Mafioso,’ ‘The Amazing Race’ season 20, and ‘The Italian Job.’
The production team also captured multiple establishing and exterior shots of the city of Turin, which is known for its historical architecture and several culturally-rich monuments. So, you might spot a few popular landmarks and buildings in the backdrop, such as the Royal Palace of Turin, the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, Palazzo Madama, Palazzina di caccia of Stupinigi, the Valentino Castle, the National Museum of Cinema, and the Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile di Torino.
