Lifetime’s ‘Picture Perfect Sister-in-Law’ acquaints us with a former investigative journalist turned university lecturer named Parker Beaumont. After escaping the clutches of a dangerous child abductor dubbed “Carousel Killer,” Parker has managed to rebuild her life from scratch within three years of the traumatic incident. At the same time, when her sister-in-law, Kate Beaumont, also acts strangely, Parker feels that she has a target on her back. Although the Carousel Killer is serving his time in prison, the lecturer still suspects that her life is under grave danger. As she delves deeper into it, she comes face-to-face with her past trauma and considers the possibility of her sister-in-law being the source of the danger that surrounds her and her family. Directed by Dave Thomas, the suspenseful tale unfolds primarily in and around Parker’s house, police station, university campus, and other locations, establishing a dynamic visual setting for the film.
Where Was Picture Perfect Sister-in-Law Filmed?
‘Picture Perfect Sister-in-Law’ was shot entirely in Georgia, particularly across Metro Atlanta. According to reports, principal photography for the Lifetime production got underway in early June 2025 and continued for more than two weeks before wrapping up in the third week of the same month. As the premiere date approached, Analisa Wall expressed her gratitude towards the cast and crew members. Starting with the director, she stated, “Endless thanks to @mrdavethomas for entrusting me with Parker, her endless ramblings and for just being an artistic visionary.” She also gave a shoutout to the crew members, stating, “All the awards should go to my HMU and Wardrobe crew for her 15,000 changes and being absolute stars in all the Georgia weather @james_jared_artistry @karenhesterhair @azizaduniani.”

The shooting of ‘Picture Perfect Sister-in-Law’ took place in several locales across Metro Atlanta in Georgia. Several locations in the region were utilized to paint the canvas for the life of Parker Beaumont, an investigative journalist turned university lecturer, who begins to feel a demon from her past, the notorious “Carousel Killer,” is likely to wreak havoc in her life again after years. To create the world Parker lives in, they shot several scenes in Atlanta, the capital of the Peach State. Also known as the Hollywood of the South, it is a leading production hub and one of the regular filming destinations for Lifetime movies.
A portion of the taping was also conducted in Newnan, AKA City of Homes, in Coweta County. The city is known for its well-preserved historic aesthetic, diverse architectural styles, and proximity to Atlanta. Often dubbed the home of ‘The Walking Dead,’ Senoia also served as a shooting spot for the Lifetime production. Its southern charm and diverse neighborhoods, ranging from rustic to residential to rural spots, make it an ideal backdrop to showcase the fictional town in the movie. For the purpose of filming, the team also visited Bremen in Haralson and Carroll counties. The city likely lent the narrative an authentic small-town vibe.
