Created by Adam DiVello, Netflix’s ‘Selling Sunset‘ is a reality series that centers on a real estate organization called the Oppenheim Group based in different parts of California, including Los Angeles. Season 9 also follows a group of professional and successful realtors who not only deal with high-end clients at work but also handle several personal issues simultaneously. Although they are experts at their jobs, the elite agents at the company find themselves in the middle of a major drama when they mix their professional and personal lives. The new twists and turns in the ninth season unfold in the familiar settings of Los Angeles, where the real estate agents visit posh neighborhoods to sell properties.
Selling Sunset Season 9 Filming Locations
Following the pattern of previous seasons, the shooting for ‘Selling Sunset’ season 9 took place in its entirety in California, especially in Greater Los Angeles. From what we can tell, principal photography for the ninth iteration seemingly got underway in November 2024 and continued for several months before wrapping up by March 2025.
Greater Los Angeles, California
Just like earlier seasons of the show, the ninth round of ‘Selling Sunset’ was also primarily lensed across the metropolitan area of Greater Los Angeles in Southern California. The Oppenheim Group at 8604 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood once again served as the filming base, while the residences of Mary and Nicole also feature in several scenes. Apart from managing their personal lives, real estate agents also attempted to sell various properties to potential buyers. Thus, the filming unit set up camp in and around the properties on North Doheny Drive, Deanwood Drive, Sunset Plaza Drive, Harland Avenue, Tanager Way, and Hollywood Boulevard.
A few scenes were also taped on Bel Air Road, Zorada Drive, Crescent Place, North La Jolla Avenue, Murietta Avenue, North Martel Avenue, and Flicker Way. A few other locations, such as West 4th Street, Viewcrest Road, Woodvale Road, The Strand, Crescent Heights, Sarbonne Road, and Pacific Coast Highway, also appear in the backdrop as the agents showcase their skills while pitching properties to their clients. The team of ‘Selling Sunset’ season 9 also visited many locations in and around West Hollywood for the purpose of filming. On Sunset Boulevard, shooting particularly took place at Bar Next Door at 9159, Serenity on Sunset nail salon at 8605, Mels Drive-in at 8585, and Casa Madera at 8440.
A portion of filming also took place at Norma at 631, as well as MXO by Wes Avila at 826 North La Cienega Boulevard. The cast and crew also visited La La Land cafe at 8361 West 3rd Street to capture a few scenes. Suite 5 of Queen Violet WeHo, located at 8543 Santa Monica Boulevard, also doubled as a filming spot for the Netflix production. Shooting was also carried out at the French restaurant named Chez Mia at 8478 Melrose Avenue. The spots chosen for taping on Ventura Boulevard are Casita at 14015 in the Sherman Oaks area and Rouge – Restaurant and Bar at 11282 in Studio City. In the Hollywood Hills, the Toluca Lake Tennis and Fitness Club, located at 6711 Forest Lawn Drive, set the scene for some of the drama featured in the season.
Lumière at 2025 Avenue of the Stars, within Fairmont Century Plaza in the Century City district, also hosted the production of the reality series. The famous Diamond merchant Jason of Beverly Hills at 9500 Wilshire Boulevard and Telefèric Barcelona Los Angeles at 11930 San Vicente Boulevard also make an appearance in the show’s ninth season.
