Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back Filming Locations and Cast Details

Helmed by Linda-Lisa Hayter, ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back’ is a part of Hallmark Mystery’s ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’ TV movie franchise. The story follows a team of postal workers by the name POstables, comprising Oliver, Shane, Rita, and Norman, who come across a lost letter that holds the key to reuniting a mother and her daughter. However, the absence of an address and a signature makes it very difficult to track down the person who wrote it.

The team somehow manage to track down a magician who might be able to help them solve the case. Meanwhile, Oliver has a life-changing revelation that, in all probability, will affect his personal life and thereby those of his peers. Keeping in mind the quest of the POstables, it was important for the production team to incorporate urgency in the visuals while enhancing the aesthetic to provide the signature Hallmark charm.

Where Was Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back Filmed?

‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back’ is set in Denver, Colorado, but was filmed entirely in British Columbia, reportedly in Greater Vancouver. Filming of ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back’ and the previous movie ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters’ took place together, starting in April 2024 and continuing for several weeks before wrapping up in May of the same year. The cast and crew, who have been working together for over a decade now, had a great time on set, their long-running chemistry resulting in yet another compelling drama set against the picturesque backdrop of the Ridge.

Greater Vancouver, British Columbia

All the pivotal sequences for ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back’ were reportedly lensed in Greater Vancouver, including Maple Ridge. Known for its beautiful natural backdrops and urban locales, Maple Ridge is located in the northeastern section of the metropolitan area. While the scenic backdrops aid in emphasizing the aesthetic of the Hallmark production, the urban areas and establishments enable the crew to double them as American locations. Many other Hallmark movies have also been shot there, including ‘Reality Bites: A Hannah Swensen Mystery,’ ‘Roadhouse Romance,’ ‘Sweet Carolina,’ and ‘Christmas on Cherry Lane.’

Several important scenes were reportedly taped in and around the city of Vancouver, which is nicknamed Hollywood North for its reputation as a shooting location for all kinds of movies and shows. From the government tax credits to the professional crew to the various studios, it is a filmmaker’s paradise. Maple Ridge, however, offers a more rustic and rural charm, which is a plus for the timelessness of a Hallmark movie. Popular visiting spots there include the Maple Ridge Park, the North Beach Trail, the Kanaka Creek Regional Park Fraser Riverfront, and the ACT Arts Centre, some of which you might spot in the backdrops of a few scenes.
