Where is Squid Game The Challenge Season 2 Filmed?

Based on the hit South Korean drama series ‘Squid Game,’ Netflix’s ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ is a British competition series that brings together competitive 456 players from different walks of life with a total of $4.56 million cash prize on the line. The participants go head-to-head against each other in a series of physically and mentally challenging games, with several players getting eliminated in each round. The last player standing is declared the winner of the competition.

For the second season of the reality show, a fresh batch of players compete in a few new as well as familiar sets of challenges, including the Count, Six-Legged Pentathlon, Mingle, Marbles, Slides and Ladders, and Circle of Trust. Each game is crafted to push the players to their limits, making the competition difficult and engaging at the same time. Season 2 features several familiar games and sets, but it also consists of numerous new challenges with complicated sets, where the players compete against each other for the grand cash prize.

Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2 Filming Locations

The shooting for ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ season 2 also reportedly took place in England, especially in London and Bedford. As per reports, principal photography for the sophomore round was carried out in early 2025, after getting underway in January 2025 and lasting for several weeks.

London, England

Just like the inaugural iteration of the series, a significant chunk of ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ season 2 was also lensed in the capital of England and the United Kingdom — London. In particular, the cast and crew members utilized the facilities of Wharf Studios at 8 River Road in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. By setting up camp in several of the sound stages in the film studio, they managed to create the set for many of the unique games for the competition. Home to six purpose-built sound stages of different sizes, the Wharf Studios also consists of 35,000 square feet of production offices, five large-scale workshop spaces, and various other amenities necessary for all kinds of projects. Thus, the Wharf Studios served as the ideal filming site for ‘Squid Game: The Challenge.’

Bedford, England

The filming unit of ‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ season 2 also traveled outside of London to the city of Bedford, where they once again set up camp at Cardington Studios. Located at Hangar 2 in Bedford’s Cardington Airfield, the film studio has a rich history, as it used to serve as a Royal Air Force station. Having a total space of 146,000 square feet inside the main stage, it served as the production location for taping many of the games of the show, requiring a large studio space.
