Directed by Anjali Nayar, ‘The Couple Across the Street’ acquaints us with a family of three who find themselves unprepared when a lockdown is imposed across the entire community. Across the street, there lives a “doomsday prepper” family of two, who offer to provide refuge to the helpless family during the lockdown. As they reluctantly temporarily stay in their neighbor’s house, they suspect that the seemingly gracious hosts don’t have the kindest of intentions. Not long after, the family of three comes across a revelation that indicates that the real danger was closer than they thought. The suspenseful tale of trust and deceit unfolds in a quaint neighborhood, especially in the “doomsday prepper” neighbors’ residence, where some dark secrets are revealed.
Where Was The Couple Across the Street Filmed?
The shooting for ‘The Couple Across the Street’ was seemingly conducted in Ontario. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Lifetime production took place in the summer of 2025, over the course of a few weeks in the month of July. After the conclusion of the production, Presley Allard talked about her experience of being on set. She stated, “recently wrapped up filming a wonderful project that I can’t wait to share. I’m forever grateful for these opportunities and being able to meet so many great people along the way.”

Filming of ‘The Couple Across the Street’ likely took place in the Ontario province in the east-central part of the country. From what we can tell, the cast and crew visited multiple locations across the region to paint the visual canvas of the movie. The blend of residential neighborhoods and suburban streets lined with trees seemingly served as an ideal backdrop to showcase a neighborhood filled with secrets and distrust among neighbors. The locales of Ontario can convincingly evoke a suspenseful atmosphere, thereby supporting the mysterious tone required for a narrative in which danger lurks around the corner.
Furthermore, several members of the production hail from the province, likely making the shooting process more convenient and accessible. In addition, Ontario usually hosts productions of thriller movies, including Lifetime projects. ‘Memory of a Killer,’ ‘Bandit,’ ‘Black Mirror,’ ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come,’ ‘Ready or Not,’ ‘Accused,’ ‘Mayor of Kingstown,’ ‘Trap,’ ‘Wayward,’ and ‘Black Doves’ are some of the titles that feature the striking landscape of Ontario. These factors make it highly plausible that the taping of ‘The Couple Across the Street’ was conducted in the province.

Brett Geddes and Jenny Raven lead the cast of ‘The Couple Across the Street.’ The former is an Ottawa, Ontario, native who not only has a passion for acting but also for traveling, as he frequently explores new destinations and goes on adventures. On the other hand, Jenny was born and brought up in Hong Kong and received training in classical ballet and acting. Before pursuing a career in acting, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Toronto.

The ‘Abducted on Prom Night’ fame, Brett Geddes, portrays the patriarch of the family of three in ‘The Couple Across the Street.’ Widely recognized for his portrayal of Termite in ‘The Boys,’ he also stars in ‘Playing with Fire’ as Loughlin, ‘Sick Puppy’ as John, ‘The Prep School Disappearance’ as Brian Summers, ‘Sins of the Father’ as Troy Jackson, and ‘The Big Cigar’ as John Frey.

In the Lifetime thriller, Jenny Raven steps into the role of the matriarch of the family of three. The Chinese-British actor might seem familiar to many of you as she stars in ‘Flatliners’ as Irina Wong, ‘Black Mirror’ as Jasmine, ‘Kim’s Convenience’ as Gwen, and ‘Wayward’ as Carla. Her other film and TV credits include the likes of ‘Len and Company,’ ‘Goliath,’ ‘We’re All in This Together,’ ‘My Dead Mom,’ ‘Memory of a Killer,’ ‘Designated Survivor,’ and ‘The Girlfriend Experience.’ The movie also features Presley Allard, William MacDonald as Tom Sullivan, and Ellen David as Rachel Sullivan.
