Under the direction of Maclain Nelson, Hallmark’s ‘The Greek Aisle’ is a romantic comedy drama movie that revolves around a young woman named Georgia who inherits a property on the Greek island of Corfu. In order to finalize the inheritance, she embarks on the journey to the picturesque island, unaware that her life will change there. Upon arriving in Corfu, she realizes that a charming young man named Alex is the co-inheritor of the same property. In an unexpected turn of events, Georgia must marry Alex to meet the requirements and complete the inheritance. The romance-filled tale mostly unfolds on the island of Corfu, which serves as an additional character, helping bring Georgia and Alex closer together and leading them to fall in love.
Where Was The Greek Aisle Filmed?
The shooting for ‘The Greek Aisle’ was primarily conducted in Greece, particularly on location on the island of Corfu. From what we can tell, a few portions were also seemingly shot in Sofia, Bulgaria. Principal photography for the rom-com got underway in March 2026 and continued for a few weeks before wrapping up by the end of the same month. Nikki DeLoach hinted at the fact that she filmed a project in Greece, stating, “Just wrapped a dreamy project on an enchanting little island with a spirited group of humans and I can’t wait to share it with you all. In the meantime, here’s a little hint… “Yamas!” 🥂🎉❤️.”
Corfu, Greece
The makers of ‘The Greek Aisle’ added a layer of authenticity by lensing a major portion of the film on location in Corfu. The eponymous city is the main feature in the Hallmark production as the cast and crew members utilized several of its streets and neighborhoods. For instance, they seemingly set up camp in and around the Sweet ‘N Spicy Organic Shop at Ag. Sofias 16 in the city of Corfu. During a conversation with Greek News USA, Apostolis Totsikas claimed that Corfu was more than just a backdrop in the movie.
“Even though the natural lights are very difficult to tame, Corfu is a very strong place to shoot, and the cinematographers did a great job with that,” he stated. Talking about his personal connection to the island, he added, “In general, I love the hospitality in Greece. It is amazing and such a beautiful place. We filmed the Hallmark movie in Corfu, where ironically enough, my wife is from that island. It was an incredible experience, and the people embraced us when we were shooting there.”
Sofia, Bulgaria
Several pivotal sequences for ‘The Greek Aisle’ were also likely taped in the capital of Bulgaria — Sofia. Situated at the foot of the Vitosha mountain, the city’s varying architecture seemingly features in the backdrop of many outdoor scenes, adding more character to the narrative. Other notable movies and TV shows filmed in Sofia include ‘Marked Men,’ ‘Beautiful Disaster,’ ‘After We Fell,’ ‘Stonehearst Asylum,’ ‘Missing the Boat,’ ‘Master i Margarita,’ and ‘Rome.’

Nikki DeLoach and Apostolis Totsikas lead the cast of ‘The Greek Aisle’ through their impressive performances, filled with chemistry and romance. The latter shared a few words about working with Nikki on the aforementioned interview, stating, “It was amazing. We had so much fun on set and off set. Nikki is such a pro. We all became like a family with the cast and the crew. I felt I was so protected under Hallmark’s wing. It was a very fun ride, and simply incredible.” He also added, “This experience was the best. It was simply amazing. I like the fact that my character is very clean and pure. He is very sensible and very much in love with life.”

Nikki DeLoach essays the role of Georgia in ‘The Greek Aisle.’ Hailing from Waycross, Georgia, Nikki is widely recognized for her portrayals of Christy in ‘Love & Other Drugs,’ Innosense in ‘Longshot,’ Lacey Hamilton in ‘Awkward.,’ Shaylene Briggs in ‘Ringer,’ and Heather in ‘Girl at a Bar.’ Her other movie credits include ‘Christmas Land,’ ‘Love to the Rescue,’ ‘The Gift of Peace,’ ‘The House Bunny,’ ‘Our Holiday Story,’ and ‘A Grand Ole Opry Christmas.’

In the Hallmark production, Apostolis Totsikas steps into the character of Alex, Georgia’s romantic interest. You might find the Greek native’s face familiar because he portrays Filippos in ‘From the Start,’ Ares Apostolou in ‘Short Fuse,’ Alkis in ‘R20,’ and Dimitris in ‘Piso sto spiti.’ He also stars in numerous other TV shows, such as ‘The Land of the Olive Tree,’ ‘Molis hthes,’ ‘Gia panta paidia,’ and ‘Parthena Zoi.’
