Based on true events, Lifetime’s ‘The Seemingly Perfect Family’ revolves around 18-year-old Lexi Murdoch, who has spent several years in the foster care system. In order to finally get out of the system and become independent, she weaves a lie and lands a job as a nanny for a wealthy family, the Sterlings. What appears to be an affluent and peaceful household turns out to be a place full of horrors. As the teenager works in the lavish property, she finds herself in the middle of the family’s sinister secrets that could prove to be life-threatening for her. The Lisa France directorial is primarily set in and around the Sterling residence, where most of the drama unfolds. The visual appeal of the thriller movie is also elevated with the involvement of other backdrops, including the residential neighborhood and other establishments.

Where Was The Seemingly Perfect Family Filmed?

The shooting for ‘The Seemingly Perfect Family’ took place across different cities within Metro Atlanta, Georgia. According to reports, principal photography for the thriller got underway in mid-October 2025 and went on for a couple of weeks before wrapping up in early November of the same year. Before the film premiered, Rylee Reagan recounted her experience on set and expressed her gratitude, stating, “So proud of this one. Grateful for every single person who brought this project to life…our phenomenal director Lisa France, the most talented cast and the wonderful crew & production team!”

Metro Atlanta, Georgia

For the purpose of shooting, the filming unit of ‘The Seemingly Perfect Family’ set up camp in Metro Atlanta, which consists of five core counties — Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, DeKalb, and Clayton. The metropolitan area’s center, the city of Atlanta, is one of the production locations where they lensed many pivotal sequences. It is likely that a few of its buildings and landmarks feature in the backdrop of exterior and establishing shots, such as the Georgia State Capitol, the Bank of America Plaza, the Georgia Aquarium, and more. The production team also reportedly utilized the locales of Douglasville and Williamson, located in Douglas County and Pike County, respectively.

Additional portions of the Lifetime production were also taped in the town of Tyrone, situated in Fayette County. Furthermore, the county seats of Coweta County and DeKalb County, Newnan and Decatur, respectively, served as production locations for the Lisa France directorial. Rylee Reagan, Bourke Floyd, and Anna Morgan Neugent lead the cast of ‘The Seemingly Perfect Family’ through their stellar performances. Apart from being a talented actor, Rylee has also served as a writer and executive producer for short films — ‘Where Flowers Won’t Grow’ and ‘The Yellow Room.’ As for Bourke and Anna, both of them are also professionally trained Stunt Performers with several years of experience. Bourke has also served as a producer for a short film titled ‘The Shed’ and another TV film titled ‘Beans.’

Rylee Reagan steps into the role of Lexi Murdoch, the 18-year-old girl who works as a nanny for the Sterling household. She began her acting career by featuring in short films like ‘Dyad,’ ‘Possession,’ ‘The Yellow Room,’ and ‘Pot Roast.’ Gradually, she moved up the ranks and landed the role of Lily Tanner in ‘Girl Who Vanished,’ Brittany in ‘Royal Façade,’ Fairy in ‘Princess for a Day,’ and Aurora Pirelli in ‘Becoming My Ex’s Mother-in-Law.’

In the Lifetime production, Bourke Floyd portrays Daniel Sterling.
