As she returns to Illinois, she unexpectedly crosses paths with the same stranger, Malcolm, during the event, and hopes that things turn out differently this time around. During the eclipse event, complications arise between Kim and Malcolm as they think of a future together. The romantic drama movie is set primarily in and around the event space in Illinois, which serves as an additional character that helps bring two destined lovers together.
Where Was The Stars Between Us Filmed?
The shooting for ‘The Stars Between Us’ was conducted entirely in British Columbia, particularly in Victoria and Vancouver. From what we can tell, principal photography for the Hallmark production got underway in the last week of July 2025 and continued for three weeks before wrapping up in August of the same year. After the conclusion of the filming process, Donna Benedicto took to social media to reminisce about her experience on set. She stated, “My abs still hurt from the laughs we had on this set 🥹 I miss Victoria and all these beautiful, talented people.”

Most of the pivotal sequences for ‘The Stars Between Us’ were lensed in the capital city of British Columbia — Victoria. Thanks to the city’s diverse landscape, it managed to double as Illinois, where the tale of romance is actually set. Situated on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, many streets and neighborhoods of Victoria were turned into film sets to record important scenes. The cast and crew members also took over a few local establishments and businesses and taped interior portions for the romantic film.
In the establishing and exterior shots, you might be able to spot several local landmarks and buildings, such as the British Columbia Parliament Buildings, Christ Church Cathedral, Craigdarroch Castle, the Fairmont Express hotel, and more. Apart from ‘The Stars Between Us,’ Victoria has hosted the production of multiple films over the years. Vancouver has served as a filming destination for numerous movies and TV shows, including ‘Eternity,’ ‘Good Luck Chuck,’ ‘The Age of Adaline,’ ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ ‘When Calls the Heart,’ ‘Once Upon a Time,’ and ‘Virgin River.’
