Tidings for the Season: Filming Locations and Cast Details

Helmed by Linda-Lisa Hayter, Hallmark’s ‘Tidings for the Season’ follows reporter Adam Kade, who takes his job very seriously, reporting on all things wrong in the community. This is until 10-year-old Robbie asks him why he doesn’t report the good news. This plants a different kind of seed in Adam’s heart, one that is watered by Robbie’s single mother, Lucy. A friendship between Adam and Lucy results in the former gaining a healthy perspective, which is reflected in his new reporting about feel-good stories.

A romance soon develops between Adam and Lucy, with Lucy also letting go of her self-sufficient attitude. Unfortunately, Adam’s reporting brings him a bigger opportunity, and he is forced to choose what matters most during the holiday season- the job he has been longing for or his newfound sense of community. The decked-up visuals highlight the change that Adam undergoes while giving the romance the quintessential Hallmark flavor.

Where was Tidings for the Season Filmed?

‘Tidings for the Season’ was filmed in British Columbia, specifically in Vancouver. Principal photography seemingly took place between the last week of August 2025 and the third week of September the same year. The cast and crew had great fun on and off set, some snippets of which the actors and the director shared on social media. It is clear from these that the entire crew had become a family by the time production wrapped.

Vancouver, British Columbia

Vancouver, AKA Hollywood North, as it is called for being a budget-friendly alternative to Los Angeles/Hollywood, became the base for the filming. From numerous filming studios to natural landscapes to man-made skylines, the city has a lot to offer for film and TV production. Many of Hallmark’s movies have been shot in the city, some of which are ‘Adventures in Love & Birding,’ ‘Providence Falls: Chance of A Lifetime,’ and ‘The Wish Swap.’ If you are planning to visit Vancouver, some of the landmarks you must have on your list are the Vancouver Art Gallery, Science World, Stanley Park, and Lions Gate Bridge. The neighborhood of Gastown, which is the original settlement and the city’s first neighborhood, is a must-visit.
