After a day of partying with friends at her house, Genelle wakes up on the morning of September 11, 2001, and gets ready to go to work. She works in the North Tower, one of the Twin Towers collectively known as the World Trade Center. Genelle’s office is on the 64th floor of the building, where she works with Sarah, Nora, Maxwell, and others. Although the day begins like any other, the situation takes a grim turn when Genelle and her colleagues feel that something has struck the tower.

They soon see a news flash that an aircraft has hit their tower. The office starts to panic, despite being unsure of exactly what’s happening. Moments later, another aircraft hits the South Tower, the neighboring building. As their building begins to show signs of imminent collapse, Genelle and her colleagues rush down the stairs. They run quickly, despite all the smoke surrounding them. Genelle helps Nora calm down, and is also joined by Sarah in the effort. The office team manages to descend to the 14th floor until something terrible happens. The building comes crashing down, trapping everyone in debris.

Stuck between heavy debris, Genelle wakes up an hour after the collapse. Outside, Kate, her fellow cops, and the rescue teams scramble to look for survivors. A retired search-and-rescue operator also arrives at the scene and teams up with NYPD officer Kate, who is already with Bill and Robert. The retired rescue operator brings his dog named Tracker, a sniffer dog, with him.

Does Maxwell Survive? What Happens to Kate and Liam?

Maxwell, one of Genelle’s colleagues, makes an effort to get his office mates out of the burning building. He is presumed dead after the building collapses, seemingly leaving Genelle as the only surviving member of the group. However, at the hospital, Genelle is in for a pleasant and hopeful surprise.
