The episode titled ‘Complex Terror’ of A&E’s ‘After the First 48’ explores all the intricate details of the case and the ensuing investigation through insightful interviews with Camron’s loved ones and the officials linked to the investigation.
Camron Roesner Was Killed While His Girlfriend and Friend Were in the Tulsa Apartment
Born on November 8, 1992, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Camron Devel Roesner was the beloved son of Kelly Atkinson. He grew up in a seemingly loving household alongside his brother. He also shared a close-knit bond with his aunt, Christina Roesner. After graduating from the Tulsa Job Corps Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Camron began paving his own path, with his beloved girlfriend, Patricia, by his side every step of the way. By the time they began dating, the two already had a young daughter each from their respective previous relationships. Around early 2022, Camron had been living in his friend Juan’s duplex at Parkview Terrace Apartments, at West 59th Street and South Union Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Soon, after Patricia got evicted from her place, she moved in with Camron at Juan’s place with her young daughter. The couple was looking forward to spending their lives together and watching their respective daughters grow up, but fate had other plans. On the night of January 29, 2022, the police responded to a shooting inside an apartment at Parkview Terrace Apartments at around 9 pm. As the authorities arrived at the scene, they found 29-year-old Camron dead. The residents, who were with him at the time of the murder, including Patricia and Juan, took Camron outside before the first responders arrived. The cause of his death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds in his leg, arm, and torso. The investigators found several 9mm shell casings across the house and collected them as evidence.
Camron Roesner’s Killer Had Camron’s Gun in His Possession When Apprehended
As part of the investigation, the detectives interviewed Camron Roesner’s girlfriend, Patricia, who told them that a few hours before the shooting, the suspect came to the apartment with one of Camron’s friends. She alleged that the shooter, who had an orange ski mask on, returned and rummaged through her and Camron’s stuff in their room when Camron tried to intervene, but was allegedly pistol-whipped by him. As per Patricia’s account, Camron then pulled out his 9mm Smith & Wesson with a distinctive blue grip, which was somehow taken by the shooter. The police also interviewed Patricia’s young daughter, who provided her account of events. During his interview, Juan told the detectives that Porkchop was the shooter, who had also allegedly gotten into a fistfight with Camron hours earlier.

He led them to Camron’s friend, with whom Porkchop showed up in the apartment in the first place. The friend was brought in for questioning and asked about the suspect. He claimed that Porkchop had multiple altercations with other residents throughout the day. The friend turned over his phone to the authorities after claiming that the shooter had used his phone to call his sister. After obtaining the number he dialed from the friend’s phone, the police went through the phone records and noticed that a man named Johnny Lee Clark, who was in police custody for possession of a firearm, had been calling the same number. It turned out that Johnny is no other than Porkchop, who was arrested just seven hours after the murder in another incident at a hotel in the Town West area.
He was in possession of two guns at the time of his arrest, one of which was Camron’s with a distinctive blue grip. As he was interrogated by the police, Johnny claimed that he was on seven different kinds of drugs at the time of his arrest. According to him, his mother kicked him out of the house, and he had served five years in prison for robbery. When asked if his DNA was going to be on Camron’s gun or not, he claimed that it might contain his DNA as he allegedly tried to buy the gun from Camron earlier. The interrogation came to a halt when he asked for a lawyer. After he was partially identified by Patricia from a photo lineup, he was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary.
Johnny Lee Clark is Currently Incarcerated at an Oklahoma Prison

Before Johnny Lee Clark’s trial could even begin, the prosecution lost one of the key witnesses in the case against him as Camron’s friend, Juan, passed away in a tragic accident. So, in September 2023, when he pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, robbery with a weapon, and having a firearm as a convicted felon, the State accepted. Ultimately, Johnny was sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing Camron Roesner. As of today, the 27-year-old killer is serving his sentence at a prison in Woodward County, Oklahoma.
