Connor Caine was first introduced to the audience in season 5 of Fox’s ‘Next Level Chef.’ As a professional chef, he demonstrated an innate culinary instinct and never compromised on his precision. As part of Nyesha Arrington’s team, he worked with challenging proteins that demanded both incredible vision and technique. For several weeks, he created incredible dishes, earning respect from his peers and judges alike. He began his academic journey by graduating from Mira Costa High School in 2012. Connor then pursued degrees in Management, Philosophy, and Music at Tulane University, graduating in 2017. While he was still studying, he entered the professional world in May 2014 as an Event Coordinator Intern at Quest Nutrition. There, Connor also worked as a Social Media Marketing Specialist and continued working there until August 2014.

From June to December 2016, Connor’s career continued to evolve as he became the Influencer Marketing and Special Projects professional at Liquid I.V. By September 2018, he took on the role of Chief Operations Officer at Flobility, before stepping away in 2019. Alongside his corporate trajectory, he began immersing himself deeply into his artistic passions. In January 2016, he started pursuing his career as a musician, focusing on writing songs, singing, producing, and creating broader creative content. Over time, Connor’s artistic exploration helped him discover his true calling in the culinary arts.

That passion took Connor to New Orleans, Louisiana, where he learned the fundamentals of cooking and culinary creativity. In January 2018, he established his own catering business, Eats By Connor. At the venture, he works as a professional chef and offers his services at birthdays, dinners, corporate events, and even weddings. Furthermore, the business aims to offer family-style food alongside tasting menus, small bites, and plated meals. Through this, Connor has served an elite clientele, including Fortune 500 CEOs, prominent creatives, and many brands such as Hexclad, Hedley & Bennett, and Typhur. He has also served several three-Michelin-star chefs and US senators.

Connor Continues to Flourish Through Culinary Ventures and Collaborations

Over the years, Connor has made a name for himself as a self-taught private chef with an unconventional approach to dining. As of writing, he continues to expand his creative and culinary presence by building his own community. He maintains his own website, where he shares his journey as a chef. There, Connor also promotes his Substack account, regularly showcasing recipes and culinary insights. Alongside that, he runs a growing YouTube channel with over 2.13K subscribers. On that platform, Connor experiments with food challenges and shares detailed recipes, offering viewers a closer look at his unique cooking style.

Connor has also been cultivating a significant fan base on social media, especially on Instagram, where he has over 18.8K followers. On his Instagram page, he not only shares videos of his carefully prepared dishes but also collaborates with his fellow former competitors from the show. In September 2025, Connor took part in The Cookout event alongside several chefs. By the following month, he cooked for the band J&J for around 3 days in the middle of a desert. In November, he teamed up with Machete and Andy, further strengthening his network within the culinary world. By January 2026, Connor even participated in a playful cooking challenge, centered on winning a date.

Staying true to his personality, Connor never misses an opportunity to express his gratitude to his growing community of supporters. In February 2026, he once again collaborated with his former opponents, Christian, Andy, Machete, and Tim, to prepare chile rellenos tacos with steak and chorizo. By the following month, Connor worked with Loser’s Eating House to prepare a dessert. Two months later, he and Machete hosted a full-service dinner for WhatsApp in California. Additionally, Connor has been working on another baking venture, Connor’s Cookie Co, launched in October 2024 alongside the musician Connor Musarra. It took a major step forward in July 2025, when they announced nationwide shipping with premium-quality cookies.

Connor’s Life Beyond Cooking is Dedicated to His Family and Friends

Connor was originally raised in Manhattan Beach, California, where the laid-back coastal rhythm of his upbringing shaped his cheerful personality. As a kid, his time was often split between skating and playing water polo, whenever he got the chance. Although his life has evolved and his career has taken him in multiple creative directions, he continues to return to the beach, where he soaks in the sun. In his free time, Connor also enjoys going on camping trips and swimming in the ocean’s blue waters. In his personal life, he maintains a close relationship with his family, especially his parents, Laurie and Andy.

Connor’s connection with his parents came to the forefront when they showed their support with a virtual message during the Semifinals. He considers his parents to be one of his biggest support systems, and they cheer him on at every milestone in his life. Besides that, the chef maintains strong bonds with several of his fellow competitors, especially Machete, with whom he even went camping. As of writing, Connor has decided to keep further details of his private life out of the spotlight. Instead, he has chosen to let his work and artistry speak for themselves.
