Scottie Thompson and David Koechner have joined the cast of the Christmas movie ‘Dashing Through The Snow.’ The filming of the project will start later this month in Lake Arrowhead, California. Prince Bagdasarian is directing the movie, which will also feature Gillian White, Ken Davitian, and James Di Giacomo. Stephen Chrabaszcz penned the screenplay.
The plot of the movie revolves around a U.S. Marshal, on a snowy Christmas Eve, who seeks refuge from her judgmental family by immersing herself in work. However, her plans take an unexpected turn when she gets snowed in with an unlikely companion – a cheerful and heavily pregnant fugitive. To complicate matters, she finds herself tasked with keeping this soon-to-be mom safe from both labor pains and a merry band of bumbling goons led by a trio of hitmen who couldn’t find a reindeer in the North Pole.
Bagdasarian co-directed ‘The Circuit: Star Crew,’ which follows the audacious crew of the popular Sci-Fi TV series ‘Star Crew.’ This adventure propels them to their limits as they strive to discover the heroes within, racing against time to save the world. The filmmaker also co-directed the comedy ‘Reverse,’ in which a stay-at-home dad embarks on a mission to uncover the truth about his suspected cheating girlfriend, along with Amber Glenn.
Bagdasarian wrote and helmed the crime action film ‘Abducted,’ which revolves around a war hero who takes matters into his own hands after his young daughter is kidnapped. The director’s credits include ‘Abstraction,’ which centers on the heist of a half-million-dollar painting.
Thompson was most recently featured as Emma Dunnigan in the crime-drama film ‘Murder at Yellowstone City.’ She also had a notable role in the Peacock TV series ‘Bel-Air’ as Angela. Thompson’s diverse credits extend to appearances in ‘MacGyver,’ ‘9-1-1,’ and ‘NCIS: Los Angeles.’
Koechner’s recent contributions include lending his voice to the character of Dick in ‘American Dad!’ and portraying Poseidon in ‘Krapopolis.’ He also showcased his talent in the TV series ‘Underdeveloped’ as Brent Arnold. Koechner’s other credits encompass roles in ‘Justified: City Primeval,’ ‘The Allnighter,’ and ‘The Goldbergs.’
White is known for playing Diane Wilmont in ‘The Oval’ and Davitian portrayed Azamat in Sacha Baron Cohen’s ‘Borat.’ Di Giacomo’s recent credits include Jerzy in ‘The Kill Room,’ starring Joe Manganiello, Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Lake Arrowhead, the main filming location of the movie, previously hosted the shooting of productions such as Prime Video’s ‘Homecoming’ and Netflix’s ‘The Laundromat.’
