Fox’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ puts aspiring chefs through an intense culinary battle, where they must prove their skills under pressure and impress Gordon Ramsay. Each episode combines challenges and demanding dinner services, with the constant threat of elimination looming over the contestants. In season 25, episode 3, titled ‘Sliding Into Hell,’ the competition continues after Reni’s emotional goodbye. The teams again give it their all during a competitive slider challenge and second dinner service. By the end, one more chef must bid farewell to the competition.
The Chefs Race Down Water Slides to Gather Ingredients For a Slider Challenge
The episode kicks off with Gordon sending the Blue and Red Teams back to their dorms. By the next morning, the contestants are shocked to find a man and a woman in bathing suits instructing them to head to a water park in their bathing suits as well. Upon their arrival, Gordon announces that they will be preparing sliders today. He then explains that two chefs from each team will cook the same protein, and each team will have four delicious proteins to choose from: bison, beef, lamb, and venison. The contestants cooking each protein will race down the slides together, and that’s where they will choose their ingredients, which are listed under miniature burgers.

Gordon reveals that once the teams hit the water, they will receive one minute to select their ingredients. As the teams finish selecting the components for their burgers, they finally head back to Hell’s Kitchen. There, the judge announces that they will get 30 minutes to prepare their sliders, and they will also receive a wild card ingredient, which will be one special additional component. As the clock begins ticking, the competitors on each team quickly arrange their ingredients before cooking their dishes. Although Mya isn’t worried about the other components of her burgers, she is worried about how to use the coconut milk she has picked for her dish.
The focus eventually shifts to Valentin, who has received Jimmy Nardello peppers as one of his components. However, he reveals that, although he has never heard of the peppers before, he is not afraid to show Gordon he is willing to try new things. With 15 minutes already gone, Aiden discloses that he is making a Mediterranean smash burger. Fortunately, Mya gets the idea to use her coconut milk and prepare a creamy mushroom topping. In the meantime, Nadia faces a challenge when she realizes her patties are sticking to the grill. In the final five minutes, she realizes that her patties may be overcooked, and they don’t look appealing. However, she hopes the flavors of her burgers will impress the judge.
Blue Team Heads For Go-Kart Racing After Winning the Challenge
As the final few seconds tick away, the contestants rush to complete plating their dishes. Gordon then announces that the Executive Chef and Co-founder of Wahlburgers, Paul Wahlberg, will join him to help judge the dishes. Upon arrival, Paul reveals that when he and his brother were children, some people used to make fun of their surnames, which eventually led them to open their burger chain. Gordon soon declares that Paul will taste all the sliders and decide which one of them is worthy of a point. He also adds that the team with the most points will win today’s challenge. The Tasting Round begins with the beef sliders made by Gabe, Jonny G., Jeyda, and Nadia.

While Paul compliments Gabe’s preparation, the Chef notes that Jonny G.’s burgers are slightly chewy. However, the chef is left impressed with Jeyda and Nadia’s sliders. Ultimately, Paul provides Gabe and Nadia with one point each. It is now the turn of the venison burgers, for which the chef awards Kylie and Miles one point each. For the third round, Paul tastes the lamb burgers prepared by Aiden, Miguel, Haley, and Georgiana. All of them receive praise from the chef, but he ultimately provides Aiden with a point. Lastly, Paul tastes the bison burgers made by Joy, Mya, Diego, and Valentin. Although all the competitors receive compliments, only Valentin receives a point from the chef.
In the end, the Blue Team receives 4 points and secures the victory, while the Red Team receives only 2. Once Paul bids goodbye, Gordon announces that as a reward, the Blue Team will get the opportunity to go go-kart racing. He then adds that the Red Team will be punished by grinding several pounds of beef for the tableside sliders. Moreover, they must also peel, slice, blanch, and fry the potatoes. Since Mya has a Punishment Pass, Gordon asks her whether she wants to join the Blue Team or face punishment with her team. She decides to stick with the Red Team, earning the chef’s respect. While the boys head for go-kart racing, the ladies focus on their punishment, guided by Michelle.
Celebrity VIPs Arrive as the Teams Face a Turbulent Second Dinner Service
Once the doors of Hell’s Kitchen open for the second dinner service, the VIPs begin making their way to the restaurant. Some of them include Podcaster and Author Bobby Bones, Host of ‘Quiz With Balls’ Jay Pharoah, and Paralympic Gold Medalist Victoria Arlen. While the Blue Team is designated to look after Jay, the Red Team will take care of Bobby. It is revealed that Mike, Jonny G., and Joy will be in the dining room to handle side-table preparations for their respective teams. As the orders begin to arrive, the focus shifts to the Red Team’s kitchen, when Jeyda states that it isn’t easy to work under pressure. Shortly after, Gordon notices that she is wearing gloves as she picks up the scallops with her hand.

Gordon promptly asks Jeyda to take off the gloves, since she can burn herself with them. When he notices she still hasn’t taken them off, he urges her to do so after arriving at her station. He also points out that the scallops she has prepared are overcooked. It leaves Jeyda feeling that the problem is that the stove was too hot. While Gordon helps her make the scallops, the attention shifts to the Blue Kitchen, which is also preparing the appetizers. As Diego focuses on making the scallops, Miles asks his fellow competitor to wait since the salad is not yet ready. However, Miles is left baffled when he receives no response from Diego. When the scallops finally reach the service window, Gordon sends them back to re-fire them since they are overcooked.
While the Blue Team gradually gets back on track, the spotlight falls on Mya, who feels that Jeyda is under the most pressure among all her team members. When Jeyda brings the lobster tails to the judge, he quickly points out that she should have taken out the skewers. As the appetizers begin going out from both kitchens, the entrée orders begin trickling in. When Gordon tastes the Blue Team’s polenta, he immediately sends it back, remarking that it has no seasoning or butter. Amid the pressure, Miguel begins to feel overwhelmed and notes that he is unable to understand the incoming comments properly. While Mike jumps in to help Miguel with the garnish, Mya and Nadia’s protein preparations help them earn praise from Gordon.
Gordon Sends Blue Team Back to the Dorm After Labeling the Service as Disastrous
In the Blue Kitchen, Aiden observes that they are preparing pork chops in two sizes, so they have to cook one more than the other. Seeing the delay in their kitchen, Gordon declares that they need to communicate properly because he is losing his patience. When the contestants from the Blue Team finally bring their Wellington and pork chops before the judge, he compliments the first dish. However, he points out that although the first dish is perfect, one of the pork dishes is dry. Gordon further remarks that another pork chop is completely undercooked.

As he sends the pork for re-firing, the judge makes sure that Jay isn’t left waiting any longer. Gordon is once again disappointed to receive almost raw lamb from the Blue Team, prompting the judge to send it back. He also warns the team that he is on the verge of sending them back to their dorms. Meanwhile, the Red Team continues preparing their orders without any major hiccups. With the Blue Team behind on service for the VIP guest, the judge sends Gabe to bring Jay a complimentary steak for the long wait, but the VIP insists on trying the lamb he ordered.
In the meantime, the Blue Team brings the re-fired pork back to Gordon, but the judge is baffled to find it undercooked. Ultimately, the judge asks them to return to the dorm and bring back the names of two nominees for elimination. On the other hand, the Red Team continues to serve the guests seamlessly. Back at the dorm, Gabe votes for Miguel and Diego, to which Aiden promptly agrees. However, Diego feels that Aiden should take accountability for the mishaps. On the other hand, Mike states that Miguel and Aiden should be up for elimination.
Diego’s Lack of Confidence Brings His Journey on the Show to an End
Once the service concludes, the Blue Team arrives in the kitchen before Gordon. It isn’t long before he asks Gabe about the first nominee, which is revealed to be Miguel. Gabe explains that Miguel is chosen because the garnish section has held their team back today. The second nominee is Diego because his support at the fish station was lacking, which confused both of his partners. Gordon also learns that Aiden has received votes from his teammates. The judge then asks Aiden, Diego, and Miguel to step forward, and then asks Miguel what happened.

Miguel explains that he had become overwhelmed and didn’t realize he needed help. He also adds that he needs to learn to communicate better and work more effectively with his team. When Gordon asks Diego if he or Aiden was responsible for the mishap with the pork chop, Aiden quickly steps up to take accountability, earning a compliment from the judge for his honesty. Aiden also emphasizes that he believes he is the strongest on his team. When Gordon asks who Diego thinks is the weakest chef on the Blue Team, Diego says no one on the team is weak.
After much consideration, Gordon instructs Miguel and Aiden to get back in line, eliminating Diego from the competition. Gordon reveals that Diego has avoided answering the judge’s question and adds that the competitor isn’t confident. In his exit interview, the contestant admits that he still had more to prove. However, he feels that this has only fueled his determination to prove the judge wrong. Mya ultimately acknowledges that this is a huge win for the Red Team, and although they still need to improve, it gives her team the motivation and confidence.
