Henry Cavill and Kevin Hart will arrive in the Garden State next month for the filming of their first project together. The filming of the Netflix spy comedy feature, titled ‘Spy Duo,’ will take place in New Jersey between August and November this year. McG will direct. The story, written by Adam and Aaron Nee, follows two rival spies who cross paths in a Lamaze class as their wives become fast friends. With their double lives colliding in unexpectedly hilarious and dangerous ways, the two men are forced to reluctantly become confidantes and partners on the road to fatherhood.

Henry Cavill was recently seen as Sherlock Holmes in Netflix’s ‘Enola Holmes 3.’ Before that, we saw him as Sid, a fixer, in Guy Ritchie’s action thriller movie ‘In the Grey.’ Cavill has a strong connection with Netflix, having played Geralt of Rivia/the Witcher in the hit drama series ‘The Witcher,’ before Liam Hemsworth took over the part, in addition to portraying Sherlock in ‘Enola Holmes’ and ‘Enola Holmes 2.’ Among his upcoming projects are Rawson Marshall Thurber’s action-adventure fantasy live-action film ‘Voltron,’ which will head straight into streaming on Prime Video in 2027, and Chad Stahelski’s ‘Highlander,’ a remake of the 1986 cult classic movie of the same name.
Kevin Hart recently got roasted by his friends in Hollywood, and Kat Williams, and it was telecast live on Netflix as ‘The Roast of Kevin Hart.’ Before that, he starred in ‘Borderlands,’ Netflix’s ‘Lift,’ Peacock’s ‘Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist.’ Hart’s partnership with Netflix has resulted in comedy movies like ‘Fatherhood,’ ‘The Man from Toronto,’ and ‘Me Time,’ the latter two of which are buddy comedies like ‘Spy Duo.’ Other buddy comedies Hart has starred in include ‘Ride Along,’ co-starring Ice Cube; ‘Central Intelligence,’ co-starring Dwayne Johnson; ‘Get Hard,’ co-starring Will Ferrell; and ‘The Upside,’ co-starring Bryan Cranston. We will next see her in ‘72 Hours,’ another Netflix comedy where he plays a middle-aged father who ends up at a three-day bachelor party in Miami with a group of twenty-something-year-olds after being mistakenly included in their email thread. The movie will be released on the 24th of this month.
McG, AKA Joseph McGinty Nichol, is the director of the cult classic action flicks ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and ‘Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.’ His other directorial credits include ‘Terminator Salvation,’ ‘This Means War,’ ‘3 Days to Kill,’ ‘The Babysitter,’ ‘The Babysitter: Killer Queen,’ ‘Family Switch,’ and ‘Uglies.’ His upcoming project is the Apple TV+ movie ‘Way of the Warrior Kid,’ based on the 2017 children’s novel of the same name by Jocko Willink. Starring Chris Pratt and Jude Hill, the movie will drop on the platform on November 20, 2026.
