Where is Sabrina Limon’s Sister Julie Cordova Now?

It was August 17, 2014, when everything turned upside down for three families as 38-year-old Robert Limon was shot to death at his workplace, the BNSF Railway Industrial Complex. That’s because, as explored in ABC’s 20/20: Unholy Matrimony,’ it turned out that his wife of 14 years, Sabrina Limon, and her lover, Jonathan Hearn, had conspired to kill him. However, Sabrina’s loving elder sister and closest confidant, Julie Cordova, didn’t believe that she had anything to do with this utterly heinous offense in any way, shape, or form.

Julie Cordova Has Always Had a Great Relationship With Her Sister

Although Julie Cordova was 15 years old when Sabrina was born back in 1980, they never once had any feelings of awkwardness or resentment between them, as one might assume. The former might have been a teen going through her own issues in trying to find herself, but she and her sister always shared a cozy and comforting connection, which only grew with time. In fact, even when the Arizona native tied the knot with the love of her life, Randy Cordova, at the tender age of 18, it didn’t affect their interpersonal standing in any negative way.

Julie still vividly remembers that whenever Sabrina used to visit her and her husband, she would unabashedly let her personality shine through, so she quite literally got to watch her grow up. Therefore, it wasn’t entirely unsurprising when the young woman followed in her elder sister-turned-confidant’s footsteps to not only marry young but also eventually settle down in California. They all reportedly got along really well, so Randy didn’t even hesitate to help his new brother-in-law, Robert Limon, land a job as a railway worker upon hearing about his passion for the industry.

As time passed, the two families essentially became an extended one, so Julie reportedly knew all about Sabrina’s strong faith, her and her husband’s open marriage, and their partying lifestyle. She was admittedly worried about her sister at one point upon noticing how much she drank and how she didn’t seem as happy as before, but she knew there was still love between her and Robert. Therefore, she was right there to support Sabrina after his demise and even called his sister to break the news. She herself was grief-stricken, so she couldn’t even fathom what they must have felt.

Julie Cordova Believes in Her Sister’s Innocence

While it’s true that Sabrina became a person of interest in Robert’s tragic murder not long after the fateful day, Julie has always thought that her sister is not guilty of any criminal offense. She does admit that her affair with Jonathan Hearn wasn’t right, yet her belief is that it was he who manipulated her, going as far as to kill her husband for his life insurance payout so they could start anew. This is not only because they are family, and she is bound to believe her blood over a stranger or officials, but also because she still remembers the strange evening like the back of her hand.

According to Julie’s accounts, she was in constant touch with Sabrina on August 17, 2014, because the latter was genuinely worried about Robert not responding to her texts or picking up her calls. Their young daughter had her first day of school the next morning, so she wanted to say goodnight to her dad before she went to sleep, but he was out of reach, and it truly worried Sabrina. Some believe this was the mother of two’s way of having an alibi, but Julie thinks her concern was genuine in every way and that even if her union was strained, her sister would never take a life.

Julie Cordova is Currently Leading a Quiet Life to Seemingly Focus on Her Family

Since Julie has preferred to remain well away from the limelight ever since her sister was convicted and sentenced for murder in 2017-2018, we do not know much regarding her present standing. All we know is that Sabrina and Robert’s two children, Robbie (born in 2003) and LeAnna (born in 2006), were in her care after everything was said and done, especially as they also believed in their mother’s innocence.

The youngsters’ decision to testify for Sabrina during her trial reportedly also ended up creating a divide between them and their father’s side of the family, but they are now adults capable of making their own decisions, and they still appear okay with just one-half of their extended family. As for Julie, from what we can tell, she is currently based in Camarillo, California, where she is doing her best to move on from the past and lead her best possible life by focusing on her passions, her husband, and all their loved ones.
