KJ Apa and Nadia Parkes’s next project will take them to British Columbia. The filming of the horror movie ‘Obey,’ featuring the two stars, will take place in Lower Mainland, British Columbia, between December 7 this year and January 28, 2027. Sophie Kargman will direct, based on a script by Ryan Farhoudi. The story follows Christian, a millionaire heir, who meets Sigrid, a young student, on a dating app. They hit it off quickly, but there’s only one problem: Christian lives with Frank, a man who dresses up and constantly acts like a dog.

KJ Apa made his screen debut on the New Zealand soap opera ‘Shortland Street,’ as high schooler Kane Jenkins. He is primarily known for playing Archie Andrews in the CW’s ‘Riverdale,’ which is based on the characters of Archie Comics. He has also starred in the romantic comedies ‘The Map That Leads to You’ and ‘The Last Summer.’ Other feature films he has starred in include ‘A Dog’s Purpose,’ ‘The Hate U Give,’ ‘Songbird,’ and ‘A Very Jonas Christmas Movie.’
Nadia Parkes is a common face on television, having played Rosa de Vargas in Starz’s ‘The Spanish Princess,’ Annalise in Netflix’s ‘The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself,’ and Chloe Ayling in BBC’s ‘Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story.’ She also played minor roles in ‘Doctor Who,’ ‘Starstruck,’ ‘Domina,’ ‘Tokyo Vice,’ and ‘Lynley.’ As far as movies are concerned, she has starred in the Christmas rom-com ‘This Is Christmas’ and the critically acclaimed rom-com ‘Finding Emily,’ starring Angourie Rice and Spike Fearn.
Sophie Kargman made her feature directorial debut with ‘Susie Searches,’ a comedy-mystery movie about an awkward college student (Kiersey Clemons) who decides to make her under-the-radar true-crime podcast famous by solving the disappearance of a classmate. ‘Obey’ is Kargman’s second feature film.
