Krysten Ritter’s ‘Claire’ Starts Filming in Oklahoma in August

Oklahoma City will soon host Jesica Jones. How? Well, Krysten Ritter is heading there in June this year for her next project, a horror movie titled ‘Claire.’ Filming begins on August 3. Tracy Kleeman will direct it, based on a story by John Carlos Higgins. The cast also includes Cameron Crovetti, Sarah Bolger, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

The story follows Claire (Ritter), a single mother of two struggling with opioid addiction, who discovers a malevolent being living underneath her single-wide trailer. The creature feeds on despair and begins to terrorize her and her two sons. As Claire’s fight for sobriety deepens, the line between inner demons and real monsters blurs, culminating in a harrowing battle for survival and redemption. Crovetti and Bolger will, in all probability, portray the children. We can expect Moss to play the dark entity.

Krysten Ritter is primarily known for playing Jessica Jones in the eponymous Marvel show as well as in ‘The Defenders.’ She will reprise the role in the upcoming Season 2 of ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ She is also recognizable as Jane Margolis from ‘Breaking Bad.’ Her latest outing as an actress was in the action thriller ‘Stone Cold Fox,’ directed by Sophie Tabet. In it, she starred alongside Kiernan Shipka and Kiefer Sutherland.

Cameron Crovetti played Josh Wright in HBO Max’s ‘Big Little Lies,’ and he will be back in Season 3, scheduled for release later this year. Other movies and shows he has been a part of are ‘The Boys,’ where he plays Ryan, the action thriller ‘Boy Kills World,’ the horror flick ‘Goodnight Mommy,’ the action movie ‘The Gray Man,’ and the drama series ‘Dirty John.’

Joining the afore-mentioned cast are Sarah Bolger (‘My All-American,’ ‘Rematch,’ Mayans M.C.,’ ‘Counterpart’) and Carrie-Anne Moss (‘The Matrix’ movies, ‘Fubar,’ ‘The Acolyte’).

Tracy Kleeman, whose short film ‘Fear Filter’ garnered 10 million views, will make her feature directorial debut with ‘Claire.’
