Lily-Rose Depp and Bill Pullman will head to Los Angeles next month. This is because their next feature, a coming-of-age drama titled ‘Playmates,’ will be shot across the city between October 13 and November 18. Lorraine Nicholson, the daughter of actor Jack Nicholson, will be making her feature directorial debut with the movie. She also wrote the screenplay, which is based on her own experiences visiting the Playboy Mansion as a kid. Joining Depp and Pullman in the cast are Indiana Elle and Vanessa Paradis, Depp’s mother and Johnny Depp’s ex-wife.
The story follows 13-year-old know-it-all Elle (Elle), who considers the Playboy Mansion her second home. During her time there, she meets Anna (Depp), one of seven hopefuls vying to be Playmate of the Month. The two form an unlikely friendship and try to help each other get what the other wants most: a magazine cover and a boy. Pullman is set to play Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
Lily-Rose Depp rose to fame with her portrayal of Catherine of Valois in the historical drama ‘The King,’ centering on the reign of Henry V of England (Timothée Chalamet). After that, she starred in Neil Burger’s sci-fi thriller ‘Voyagers,’ Camille Griffin’s black comedy movie ‘Silent Night,’ Nathalie Biancheri’s psychological drama ‘Wolf,’ Jocelyn in the HBO drama series ‘The Idol,’ and Ellen Hutter in Robert Eggers’ ‘Nosferatu.’ The upcoming gothic horror movie ‘Wulf,’ will be her second collaboration with Eggers. The movie, also starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, is a retelling of the age-old werewolf lore. We will also see the actress in the sci-fi comedy ‘Alpha Gang,’ which premiered at the 2026 Telluride Film Festival and awaits a release date.
Bill Pullman’s latest credits include Jack Willard in Netflix’s ‘The Boroughs,’ Melvyn Jorrisen in Paul Schrader’s ‘The Basics of Philosophy,’ and Harry Evans in ‘Everybody Digs Bill Evans.’ Up next for him are Jody Hill’s thriller movie ‘Famous,’ which is about a man who shares his facial appearance with a well-known movie star and goes to Hollywood to become one himself; and Josh Greenbaum’s sci-fi comedy movie ‘Spaceballs: The New One,’ the highly anticipated sequel to the cult classic movie ‘Spaceballs,’ which will be released on April 23, 2027.
Young Indiana Elle made her on-screen debut in Apple TV+’s ‘Lessons in Chemistry.’ She has also starred in Peacock’s ‘Ted,’ Netflix’s ‘No Good Deed,’ HBO Max’s ‘I Love LA,’ and Apple TV+’s ‘Imperfect Women.’ Her feature film slate consists of ‘The Housemaid,’ in which she made her feature debut as Amanda Seyfried’s character’s daughter, Cece, and the comedy ‘The Dink,’ in which she played Sadie.
French model/actress/singer Vanessa Paradis is known for movies like Jean-Claude Brisseau’s ‘Noce Blanche,’ which won her the César Award for Most Promising Actress, ‘Élisa,’ ‘Girl on the Bridge,’ ‘Fading Gigolo,’ ‘Frost,’ and ‘Love Songs for Tough Guys.’
