The episode titled ‘Killer on the Field’ of Investigation Discovery’s ‘Murder Under the Friday Night Lights’ chronicles the brutal killing of Manuela Allen, a teacher at Olney High School, in her house on July 7, 2019. Naturally, the tragedy sent shockwaves across the community of Olney, Texas, with her and Peter Allen’s four children — Darian, William, Melanie, and Kiara Allen — feeling the brunt of it. At the time of the murder, only Darian and Kiara were in the residence besides Manuela and Peter. While William was away at college, Melanie had gone to an amusement park.
The following morning, Kiara discovered blood stains all over her parents’ bedroom, with her mother nowhere to be seen. She told her father, and the search for Manuela commenced. After several days of investigation, it was revealed that Melanie’s ex-boyfriend and former Olney High student, Julius Mullins, was the perpetrator behind the murder. The documentary delves deep into the entire case and how the detectives linked him to the crime.
While William is in the Army, Darian is a Married Man Today
After completing his studies, William Allen decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and join the army. Although he prefers to keep the details of his life private, we can tell that he has since achieved his dream and enlisted in the Army. As for his brother, Darian recently tied the knot with the love of his life, Taylor Elizabeth Roberson-Lira, on August 16, 2024. From what we can tell, the married couple has moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, to start the next chapter of their life.
Hailing from Vernon, Texas, Taylor is a Midwestern State University graduate who works as an Advertising Account Executive at Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Previously, Darian’s wife was a General Manager at HOTWORX and an Advertising Account Executive at KFDX Channel 3 News. Since Taylor has a daughter named Zahra from a previous relationship, Darian has seemingly warmly welcomed her into his life too. Moreover, the couple shares a passion for working out.
