Rethinking fast food is no longer a niche idea for health enthusiasts, but a growing demand among everyday customers who want convenience without compromising their well-being. PowerSoul Cafe aims to address that need by building itself on the philosophy of “eat to live.” The brand focuses on high-quality ingredients and nutrient-dense options that align with modern lifestyles. The founder appeared on the season 17, episode 17 of ABC’s ‘Shark Tank,’ giving the venture access to a national audience. The founder shared their mission to transform everyday eating habits and reshape the future of fast food.
PowerSoul Cafe: Who Are They and What Do They Do?
Long before PowerSoul Cafe came into existence, its founder, Dina Mitchell, was already carving out a distinctive journey rooted in purpose. Her entrepreneurial spirit became evident from the beginning as she stepped into her career in February 1998 as the owner of Daylight LLC. In November 2000, she became an Area Developer and Marketing Director for Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Nevada and Southern California. Dina served there until July 2014 before transitioning into her role as a Creator at Touchdown For Charity, where she continues to work today. After she sold her interests in Tropical Smoothie Cafe in 2015, she entered a noncompete clause for a 5-year period. Dina transformed the time into her journey of exploration, during which she traveled across the globe.

During her travels, Dina noticed that truly gluten-free fast food options were rare. Since she is gluten-free by choice, the realization became personal, and it wasn’t until she reached New Zealand that she noticed a considerable shift. She discovered that the people there were seamlessly preparing gluten-free food that could be integrated into everyday life. Hence, during the COVID-19 lockdown, Dina experimented with traditional recipes in her kitchen to develop vegan and gluten-free alternatives. Even when the vegan version fell short, she found the other adaptations were achievable most of the time. Ultimately, it led Dina to launch PowerSoul Cafe in Las Vegas, Nevada, in June 2021. Her contributions and leadership were further recognized when she was named an Honored Listee by Marquis Who’s Who in June 2023.

At its core, PowerSoul Cafe reflects her vision and emphasizes the use of high-quality ingredients. Many of these components are sourced directly from Italy and grown without pesticides. Their menu options include everything from fresh smoothies to meals under 500 calories with up to 55 grams of protein. The cafe remains open 24 hours, with drive-through service, and is certified gluten-free by the Gluten Free Food Program (GFFP). The certification is endorsed by the National Celiac Association and other leading celiac associations in the US and Canada. The fresh mozzarella used by the venture is sourced from a small European farm that uses traditional methods without citric acid. The venture also focuses on sustainability, as evidenced by its reusable, recyclable, and compostable packaging. PowerSoul Cafe also strictly avoids using oats grown near wheat to prevent cross-contamination.

PowerSoul Cafe’s connection with its audience is most evident on Instagram. Shortly after, they partnered with the non-profit organization, Nevada SPCA, donating $2 from every bag of gluten-free dog treats to support the organization’s rescue efforts for pups. They have also collaborated with several creators, like Life in Vegas and Where Vegas Eats, among others. The cafe’s collaboration with Nevada SPCA continued in November 2025 alongside reality TV personality JaNa Craig, who joined the cafe’s drive-through initiative to raise awareness regarding pet adoption and funds for the organization.
By the following December, PowerSoul Cafe conducted a giveaway. In January 2026, they visited the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), where Dina met the students from the Law Enforcement Empowerment Athletic Program (LEEAP). It was followed by the launch of their highly requested limited-edition smoothie, XOXO, for Galentine’s Day in February. The cafe proudly announced the renewal of the gluten-free certification through the Gluten-Free Food Program in the same month. On March 1, they celebrated the 2-year anniversary of the 8180 West Warm Springs Road outlet. In April 2026, PowerSoul Cafe hosted its first gluten-free meetup on April 11, offering free samples and open conversations. Around the same time, they announced their monthly subscription box filled with gluten-free goodies, complete with a 20% discount for first-time subscribers.
