Sarah Lancashire’s next Netflix show will be shot in the UK. Principal photography of ‘Witch Hunt,’ an upcoming horror thriller series from Netflix, will take place in the UK in the spring of 2027. Abi Morgan created the show, with Lancashire as the only cast member revealed so far.

The story follows August Howell (Lancashire), a descendant of the ‘Witch of Cambridge,’ who is released after three decades in prison for drowning her three young daughters. She comes home to a community that does not want her back. But when concern grows that her return has triggered a modern-day witch hunt in the university town, the police must turn to August’s last surviving daughter, Professor Wren Howell, academic and investigative psychologist, to help find the killer as past resentments and local folklore collide. It remains to be seen who is cast as Wren Howell. The show will premiere in 2028.
