Shaque: Trust No One Season 2 Plot and Cast Theories

Netflix’s ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ centers on Anvita, a mother whose life remains consumed by the disappearance of her daughter Apeksha, who is abducted shortly after her birth in Shimla. Nearly nine years later, Anvita continues to search for answers despite the emotional toll the case has taken on her. Her husband, Alok, and mother-in-law, Madhu, fear that her determination has become an unhealthy obsession, while her younger daughter, Siddhi, grows up in the shadow of a tragedy the family cannot escape. With no one else willing to support her search, Anvita places her faith in Inspector Khurana, a local cop equally determined to solve the long-running case. As she starts looking closely at the people around her, Anvita finds herself surrounded by suspects and conflicting possibilities. Each new revelation brings her closer to the truth while making her question her own perception of reality.

Refusing to abandon hope, she continues her search, determined to discover what really happened to Apeksha. The first season ends with Anvita learning that Rhea, the supposed daughter of Sakshi and Gaurav, is actually Apeksha. Anvita successfully proves that Apeksha is her daughter with the help of a DNA test. After realizing that the cops know the truth about her role in Apeksha’s abduction, Sakshi tries to kill herself by jumping off the roof. However, Sakshi survives the fall and is shifted to the hospital, where her fate remains hanging in the balance. After nine years of intense emotional pain, Anvita finally reunites with Apeksha. While a second season has not been announced, multiple plots, including Anvita and Apeksha’s future together, remain unresolved. Fans can expect season 2 of ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ to stream in the second half of 2027 if it is renewed in a timely manner.

Shaque: Trust No One Season 2 May Examine Anvita and Apeksha’s Fates After Their Reunion

The first season of ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ ends on a positive note for both Anvita and Apeksha, who are able to live together after nine years of estrangement. Anvita looks on happily as her older daughter, Apeksha, and younger daughter, Siddhi, play together in the park. While Anvita’s struggle seems to be over, there could be other issues that she will have to deal with. One of the most important characters in the emotional equation between Anvita and Apeksha is Alok. After learning that Alok has been cheating on her with Shreya, Anvita refuses to speak to him. Her actions towards the end of season 1 indicate that she is no longer interested in continuing her relationship with him and may choose to end it. Alok is a deeply flawed man who also faces his own insecurities.

He manipulates both Shreya and Anvita while serving his own interests. Alok also refuses to properly acknowledge the wrongs his mother, Madhu, committed. Although Anvita may hope to spend the rest of her life with her daughters without any interference, Alok might become the greatest hurdle in this process. Alok could try to force himself back into Anvita’s life, despite her best efforts to avoid such a scenario. It is also possible that Alok might try to accuse Anvita of everything that went wrong in their lives. In season 1, he has already blamed her for being careless and allowing Apeksha’s kidnapping to take place. In a potential second season, Alok may continue to gaslight Anvita and also repeatedly accuse her of destroying the family dynamics.

This might force Anvita to wage another battle for the sake of her own safety and her daughters’. There is also the unresolved issue of the future of the friendship between Shreya and Anvita. The two of them have been best friends for a long time, but Shreya betrays Anvita’s trust by pursuing an affair with Alok. Anvita may also have to decide if she wants to forgive Shreya for her mistakes or choose to stay away. Irrespective of what Anvita decides in the matters of Shreya and Alok, her life might change substantially after that point. These unresolved questions and relationships could make the story more intense in season 2, engaging the viewers.

Shaque: Trust No One Season 2 Could Introduce New and Unique Characters

‘Shaque: Trust No One’ is brought to life by its diverse characters, who each have their own emotional complexities to deal with. Besides the lead, Anvita, other characters also play decisive roles in the story. If the show returns for season 2, we can expect most of the cast members to reprise their roles. Fans could see Parineeti Chopra play Anvita again, Tahir Raj Bhasin to essay Alok, and Harleen Sethi to return as Shreya. Along with these characters, we could see Jennifer Winget portray Sakshi, Soni Razdan play Madhu, and Sumeet Vyas return as Bhaskar. Although his character is dead, Anup Soni might play Inspector Khurana in flashback sequences in the second season. Additionally, Trisha Bisht may reprise her role as Rhea/Apeksha, and Ebadat Hussain may portray Siddhi, along with Veer Rajwant Singh as Baldev.

Although Anvita may continue to be the focus of the story, Sakshi could also have a significant role in season 2. After being exposed as the one who orchestrated Apeksha’s kidnapping, Sakshi tries to kill herself, but survives with serious head injuries. If Sakshi recovers and wakes up from her coma, she could face legal consequences for her actions. Anvita may also have to appear in court to give testimony against Sakshi, which could lead to unforeseen chaos. Though Anvita appears empathetic towards Sakshi towards the end of the first season, she still deals with significant emotional pain. This might prompt Anvita to face anger, frustration, and uncertainty when she faces Sakshi again.

We could also see new characters in season 2, who could influence the story in unexpected ways. Since the tribal community is often mentioned in the first season, season 2 could introduce characters who belong to that specific community. There may also be lawyers and judges who will have to handle Apeksha’s case, and also the cases relating to the illegal surrogacy business run by Bhaskar. These new characters might add to the flavor of the story, making the show more entertaining.

Shaque: Trust No One Season 2 Might Feature Unexpected Twists and Turns

The future of ‘Shaque: Trust No One’ remains uncertain, as there have been no official announcements about a potential season 2. If the story ends with season 1, it will leave many important storylines unresolved. The viewers will be curious to find out if Sakshi will go to prison, whether Anvita forgives Alok, and if Bhaskar’s illegal surrogacy business will be dealt with by the cops. We have not seen how Anvita and Apeksha will build their relationship as mother and daughter. Since Apeksha has grown up in a different household, she might find it difficult to fully adjust to life with Anvita. Sakshi’s fate hangs in the balance and could be determined by what happens in the courtroom.

On the other hand, Anvita has serious decisions to make. If she forgives both Shreya and Alok for betraying her, Anvita’s life may again see emotional crises. While Bhaskar is already in prison for his role in the illegal surrogacy business, the larger operation may still be alive in the forest area. This could prove to be a challenge for Baldev, who has taken over after Khurana’s death. Anvita’s world is an extremely complex one and is characterized by deception all around her. Ultimately, season 2 could introduce new issues while also resolving the ongoing legal and emotional crises.
