Shin Hyun-been’s Say You Love Me Begins Filming in Seoul

The filming of Jung Woo-sung and Shin Hyun-been-starrer ‘Say You Love Me’ has begun in Seoul, South Korea. The K-Drama follows the love story of Cha Jin-Woo, a painter with a hearing impairment, who expresses his feelings through his drawings and paintings, and Jung Mo-Eun, an aspiring actress who uses her voice to express her heart.

The shoot of the show is going on in Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Actress Shin Hyun-been has been spotted filming some of her sequences in the city, particularly near The Shilla Hotel. Seoul is a popular filming location for K-Dramas and has earlier facilitated the production of ‘Business Proposal,’ ‘True Beauty,’ ‘My Love From Another Star,’ ‘Boys Over Flowers,’ and ‘You Raise Me Up.’ The city has hosted the shooting of several English-language productions as well, including ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ ‘Sense8,’ ‘Star Trek Beyond,’ ‘ The Bourne Legacy,’ and ‘To All the Boys: Always and Forever.’

The romance drama is directed by Kim Yoon Jin, known for previously helming the series ‘Our Beloved Summer.’ The script is penned by Kim Min Jung, who earlier worked on the shows ‘The Sound of Magic,’ ‘Love in the Moonlight,’ ‘Who Are You: School 2015,’ and ‘Imitation.’ The show is a remake of the Japanese television series ‘Aishiteiru to ittekure.’ The original series aired on TBS in 1995 and won several accolades, including the awards for Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Actress at Japan’s Television Drama Academy Awards.

‘Say You Love Me’ stars Jung Woo-sung as Cha Jin-Woo and Shin Hyun-been as Jung Mo-Eun. The two actors are collaborating for the second time after their 2020 crime thriller film ‘Beasts Clawing at Straws.’ Jung Woo-sung is famous for his performances in the films ‘Illang: The Wolf Brigade,’ ‘Asura: The City of Madness,’ ‘The Divine Move,’ ‘The Good, the Bad, the Weird,’ and ‘A Moment to Remember,’ and the television shows ‘Padam Padam,’ and ‘Athena: Goddess of War.’

On the other hand, Shin Hyun-been’s acting credits include ‘Reflection of You,’ ‘Reborn Rich,’ ‘The Closet,’ ‘Cheer Up, Mr. Lee,’ ‘Sunset in My Hometown,’ and ‘Seven Years of Night.’ Park Jin-joo (‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,’ ‘Her Private Life,’ and ‘If You Wish Upon Me’) also features in the series in an undisclosed role. The rest of the cast has not been revealed yet.
