A Knight to Remember: Filming Locations and Cast Details

Adapted from the novel titled ‘Her Knight at the Museum’ by Bryn Donovan, Hallmark’s ‘A Knight to Remember’ is a fantasy romantic drama movie that centers on a museum conservator named Emily Porter, who tends to the centuries-old statue of a legendary English knight named Sir Griffin de Beauford as it arrives in her museum for an art exhibition. As she is cleaning the statue and getting it ready for the event, Emily impulsively kisses it, unaware of the consequences.

The kiss magically brings the English knight to life, with Emily finding it hard to believe. She then uses the opportunity to give Griffin a tour of the bustling streets of modern Chicago, allowing him to take in new experiences. With the knight’s fate hanging in the balance, the museum conservator finds herself unexpectedly falling for him. The film is set in Chicago, with its streets, restaurants, and cafes, while the knight’s medieval attire provides a stark contrast to the visuals.

Where Was A Knight to Remember Filmed?

Production on ‘A Knight to Remember’ was conducted in British Columbia, especially in Greater Vancouver. Principal photography for the romantic film reportedly took place in the month of July 2026, over the course of a couple of weeks, under the working title ‘Her Knight at the Museum.’ With the film’s premiere approaching, James Trevena took to social media and shared a few words about his time on set. He stated, “What a gift! I spent 3 weeks laughing till it hurt not sure how anything usable came out 😂 Amazing time in Vancouver with some new found loves. Thanks @aysefrancis, Joey and Fairsy for having me.”

Greater Vancouver, British Columbia

Although ‘A Knight to Remember’ is set in Chicago, Illinois, the filming unit utilized the vast and versatile locales of Greater Vancouver to lens most of the pivotal sequences. Several streets in the sprawling city of Vancouver were transformed to double for Chicago, as Emily and Griffin navigate the modern world. From what we can tell, the cast and crew members also set up camp in a few actual establishments and residences to tape indoor scenes for the film. In particular, a Tudor-style mansion and the surrounding grounds served as key production locations.

As per reports, the city of Abbotsford, located just outside Greater Vancouver, also hosted the production of the Hallmark movie. The author, Bryn Donovan, whose book is the inspiration behind ‘A Knight to Remember,’ visited the set during the shooting process. She shared her experience in her blog, writing, “It felt like a dream to be led onto a set full of trucks, trailers, tents, equipment, a whole outdoor set, a busy crew, and the lead actors going through the blocking of the scene. I spent most of my time on set in the “video village” tent with the director, art director, script supervisor, and the programming exec and her colleague from the channel.”
