In Hallmark’s ‘Aussie at Heart,’ a former attorney named Samara Hart has been working as an event planner to rebuild her life after a public fallout during one of the trials she was a part of. She takes on a challenging project of planning a special 40th wedding anniversary celebration aboard a luxury yacht in the Australian waters. Excited and hopeful of making the event a success, she is shocked to discover that her former rival, Nate Lawson, whom she blames for ruining her law career, is the captain of the yacht. Forced to plan the lavish anniversary together, Samara and Nate’s ideas initially collide, but with time, as they confront their history, they begin to fall in love. Under the direction of Colin Budds, the romantic drama movie is set in Queensland, Australia, as the law rivals reunite to organize a high-stakes event on board a yacht.

The shooting for ‘Aussie at Heart’ primarily took place in Australia, particularly in Queensland. According to reports, principal photography for the Hallmark production got underway in late March 2026 under the working title ‘Love on Deck’ and continued for a couple of weeks before wrapping up in mid-April of the same year.
