Where is Dead-End Job Filmed?

Created by Kim Da-min, Han Jun-hee, and Kyung Min-sun, Netflix’s ‘Dead-End Job’ is a South Korean horror series that revolves around the debt-ridden life of Byeon Hyeok-jun, a young man in his 30s. When he comes across a flyer from Spider Staffing Agency offering a high-paying part-time job, he jumps at the opportunity and believes that it could solve his financial problems once and for all. While the mysterious agency promises nearly 50 times the minimum wage, it expects Hyeok-jun to adhere to one rule — never disclose what happens on the job.

As he is employed at a seemingly ordinary convenience store called “Enter,” Hyeok-jun goes through a series of unexpected events and realizes that the unbelievably high-paying gig comes at the cost of working in nightmarish workplaces, where his life is under constant threat. With the new job making the young man’s life a living nightmare, his sister tries to find out what’s happening to him. Originally titled ‘Ggoolalba,’ the mystery drama series is set in several workplaces that harbor hellish secrets beneath their ordinary facade.

Dead-End Job Filming Locations

The shooting for ‘Dead-End Job’ was conducted in South Korea, specifically in and around Seoul. Principal photography for the thriller series seemingly commenced around August 2025 and wrapped up several weeks later in late 2025. Thanks to the vastness and versatility of South Korea, it served as an ideal filming site to depict the eerie and unsettling nature of the locations featured in the horror series.

Seoul, South Korea

All the pivotal sequences for ‘Dead-End Job’ were lensed across the sprawling city of Seoul, officially known as Seoul Special Metropolitan City. The scenes set in the fictional Enter convenience store, where Hyeok-jun works part-time, were shot inside the 7-Eleven store located at 22 Seongsan-ro 22-gil in Seoul’s Seodaemun District. The worn-out exterior of the old building at 37 Dapsimni-ro in the Dongdaemun District doubled as the fictional Geomi Manpower Office building in the horror-mystery series.

From what we can tell, the cast and crew members took over various other real-life establishments and residences to tape numerous important scenes. In the establishing shots, you are likely to spot several landmarks and buildings, such as the Deoksugung Palace, Lotte World Tower, the Seongsan Bridge, the 63 Building, and the Trade Tower. Apart from ‘Dead-End Job,’ Seoul has served as a prominent production location for various movies and TV shows over the years. Some of the notable ones include ‘Train to Busan,’ ‘Exhuma,’ ‘Parasite,’ ‘Oldboy,’ ‘The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil,’ ‘If Wishes Could Kill,’ ‘The Recruit,’ ‘All of Us Are Dead,’ and ‘Squid Game.’
